The truck was dirty upon pick-up, inside and out. It was old with 120,000km and was a real beast and gas guzzler. U-Haul offers an important rental service for carrying loads, but the experience from a customer perspective was one of fragmented communication between vendors and miscommunication between calls. I spoke with numerous customer service representatives over several months and they were very uneven in their knowledge. I had ordered furniture pads and dollies, and was told upon pick-up that there were no such items at their location. Not only could they not tell me where to pick up these items, but I was directed to again call a 1-800 number and wait on the line for 30 minutes in order to be told where to pick up these items - which was a location on the other side of the city.
