U-Haul has been incredibly frustrating to deal with—this is the second time they’ve nearly derailed our entire move. I received a call just thirty minutes before my scheduled truck pickup informing me that the location I booked three weeks in advance would only allow a one-day rental for the size of truck requested. That’s completely unworkable for a family of four trying to move. They took an unreasonable amount of time to find an alternative and showed zero empathy for the disruption they caused. On top of that, they failed to apply the mileage discount they promised—yet another broken commitment. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I strongly recommend avoiding U-Haul if you’re planning a move.
