I went 6 miles.total and was charged 17.00 for gas. Not thinking that was right at all. And then when we got back we where told we had to sweep out the truck there was nothing in it

this was not my preferred pick up location, it was an hour away from where i originally wanted to pick up the trailers. my preferred location opened at 7am, wasn't able to get the trailers from the new location until 11am, lost half a day of loading time. anyway, i called the day before to confirm and got the answering machine, left a message, they never called back the next day. tried calling the day of pick up to confirm and kept getting a busy signal. rolled the dice and decided to drive to the pick up location in Lockport, the person there was standoffish and sort of rude. he made a game out of needing a contact person to verify our identity, as if our drivers licenses weren't enough. if he called somebody and they didn't answer, he told us he couldn't use that person and had to move on to another person. mind you it was late morning on a Tuesday when everybody is at work. he told us we couldn't leave with the trailers until we found somebody. we were finally able to contact our landlord to verify our identity. we finally got around to getting the trailers. the worker told us he was only responsible for connecting the trailers, we had to hook up our own electrical because he didn't want to be responsible i some thing didn't work. remember...he was only responsible for connecting the trailers...we got 3 miles down the road and as we were pulling up to a traffic signal, the trailer that was attached to my vehicle became disconnected. remember...he was only responsible for connecting the trailers and he couldn't even do that right. fortunately there was no damage to my wife's vehicle or the trailer or to any of the vehicles that were around my vehicle. we tried contacting the Lockport location to report the incident, but all we got for the remainder of the day was a busy signal. unfortunately, u-haul is the only game in town when it comes to enclosed trailer rentals and they know it. when you are asked for your preferred location for pick up, that is where you should be getting your equipment from, not form where they decide to send you. my only hope is that i never have to rent from them again.

Truck needs complete service.steering was all over the place (wheel alignment)bald tread on wheels and dry rott.brakes were terrible stopping (warped rotor or ceased caliper).when backing up should have warning lights .screw in passenger rear outer tire .body trim dented all along cargo box.all in all this vehicle should be scraped

The manager was extremely rude and condescending. As soon as we walked in the door he was too busy communicating with his wife then with attending to us. It was absolutely horrible experience. I've never been talked down to like this before.

Would have been nice to extend a courtesy reminder that there is no smoking in the vehicles. I should have known better as it was not my vehicle however a reminder would have been nice rather than a $25.00 charge for cleaning.

The guy I dealt with was great. He did everything he could to make my experience better. The website on the other hand really needs some work. It just let's you order whatever you want whether or not the location you're going to has it. Then they switch it, and suddenly it costs more, and you just have to accept that, because there's nothing else you can do. When I initially moved three months ago it ended up costing me almost $200 more than I planned for. This time it was $60 more. I am a student. I cannot afford that, but the disparity between the information given on the website or over the phone and what happens when you actually go to rent or return the equipment makes it seem like Uhaul is just another big company out to take advantage of people in an already stressful situation. And they succeed over and over again. Honestly, I'm done with it. If I can I will avoid Uhaul in the future altogether. If I can't I will try to go back to this location though because the staff there was really helpful.

Been over 2 weeks of calling customer service, emailing and endless trips back to uhaul rental place to try and get the bill straighten out. The phone number you have is no longer in use!!! But the email is still good. I guess we have to advise the bank to stop payment. Thank you

Been on the phone for almost an hour waiting to talk to customer service, we rented a truck for 8 hours but was billed for 3 days. Advised the guy we rented it from said he would take care of it been almost a week and still nothing been done.

We rented a truck for 24 hours and bought the $15 protection plan for it. We returned the vehicle and an extra $150 was charged to my card for a damage “deductible” for damage we were unaware of. The protection plan covers nothing. I wouldn’t recommend this place if trying to save money because they will charge your card for anything they can.
