Some software issues, but nothing I was upset about



I found the rental experience to be very positive. Required a same day rental and after several phone calls (most had to leave a message) visited the location instead. I was fortunate a vehicle was available. The transaction was professional and effortless. Will not hesitate to use this location again when I need to rent a vehicle in the future.

This vehicle was falsely rented in my name. This is the second time u-haul has rented a vehicle to a criminal impersonating me. After hours of phone calls and trying to prevent this from happening again, uhaul assured me it wouldn't. Here I am with numerous invoices being sent for another vehicle.

Absolutely rude customer service. Would deal with his own customers mid-conversation and make us wait for as long as he had customers. Rude and would not explain anything (equipment, rental) I am disgusted by his attitude towards uhaul customers (he was nice to his own customers) and would not return here ever again.

first issue: the truck I ordered wasn't at the location and they tried to give me a smaller one. lucky the people there were nice and found me the one i ordered and we went to pick it up. second issue: i was charged for fuel even thought the person inspecting the vehicle said it was good. i got 2 bills on for the finial charge which was fine (the gas gauge on the email showed it was filled)but then another saying the fuel wasn't where is was suppose to be.(this one showed it was under which it wasn't) i am very displease bc this is the second time i have had to deal with this with your company.



I think the gas cost was excessive. I use Tre truck for 3 miles and pay 16 dollars for gas. That's a too much for a little trip.

First of all, my reservation was not online and the contract ready-to-go as advertised. He had to call somewhere to get access to it! Then, no blankets were available as ordered - but, I could have bought some at $7.00 per!! Also, the tank was 5/8's full - how could I possibly return the truck at the same level without a proper way to gage how many ltrs. I had used? It turns out I returned the truck with more (slightly more than 3/4's full). But, there was no reimbursement for the overage! Also, the person at this location didn't seem to know how to operate the computer and the Uhaul program to make adjustments to the truck reservation (ie. removing the pre-ordered blankets)!

I brushed out the vehicle onsite but was billed a$ 25 cleaning fee because it was still dusty. If I were to ever use this service again I would leave it full of trash as that's the same price. Very disappointed at the end of a long day

There was a bit of a hiccup in the system when we went in to pick up the truck. We also ended up with a smaller truck than we had booked. The owner of the shop was really kind, and due to the error helped us out by allowing us to bring the truck back later than was required.

I was disappointed that the vehicle I had reserved about a month prior was not available and I was obligated to take a vehicle that had the same daily rental but a significantly higher mileage fee. I assume that is the fault of Uhaul not Jack Campbell.

Make better estimation on how much I'm going to pay for the rental. Also reduce mileage prices. Most likely I will not rent from uhaul again or refer you to other individuals or companies because you are crazy mother fucking expensive.

They were so slow. They are just about two minutes away from our home so we expected to go in there and it to take about ten minutes. Instead it took about thirty minutes. The representative that was initially assisting us seemed so careless and confused with what he was doing. The truck smelt like urine. And to top it off I kept receiving calls the next day telling me they needed me to go into the store to process my payment because they didn't save my information properly. Way too complicated and time consuming.

Worst experience moving ever. 1. The guy told us the credit card and debit machine was down for the UHAUL machine and we cannot pay cash. I had a very time understanding what he was saying. It didn’t make sense. He then wanted us to give a credit card but he wouldn’t swipe it. Instead he wrote down the number including the security codes. How can the machine be down? It is a double convenience store and Uhaul rental, how can the other machine be down? Sounded like he wanted to steal my credit card information. Luckily it was a prepaid credit card so gave it. 2. He couldn’t enter the information in the system. He took forever to enter the information. Then when he pressed entered, he skipped through the resulting screens and came to a 3rd screen that said ERROR. Why was he skipping through the screens and not reading what the screens say? After 2 attempts, I read the last screen and it turned out he entered the wrong amount . It clearly stated not to charge $100 instead charge the actual amount (the $100 was for cash only). He was very incompetent. To make matters worse, he kept getting variety store customers and kept stopping to handle customers. HE did this 4 times at least during the 30 minutes he was entering the information. Each time he HAD to socialize with each one. I never had anyone take so long to enter information . After he failed to enter the information for like the 10th time, we asked again, why can’t we just pay debit? He then said we could and let us use a debit machine . Which was ridiculous because he lied to us before not being able to pay with debit. He lied or he obviously can’t explain what he is doing or explain what he means. 3. He showed us on the form the gas was half full. When I went out and looked at the gas gauge, it wasn’t half full. It wasn’t even slightly off, it was well below the half mark, one increment less. I got so upset that he didn’t enter the gas amount properly knowing that I would probably have to pay extra for gas on such a big truck, I went inside and told him the gauge was different than on the form. He came out and checked and he agreed that it was less. Instead of changing the mark on the contract, he just said don’t worry about it . This was unprofessional, he should have marked the CORRECT fuel gauge amount on the form. 4. He told me I would be charged around $77 for a 24 hour period if I drove around 25 miles or less. 5. He never explained that if I was late , even by 25 minutes, that I would get charged a FULL day of moving charges. 6. He barely even spoke English and it was very frustrating trying to talk to someone in English who doesn’t make sense. 7. I returned the truck at around 8:55 pm the next day instead of 8:30 pm. 8. Not only did I fill the truck back up to the mark I received it in, I thought it was actually more. He told me that he gave it to me half full and I gave it to him a little less. I was furious. The transaction took over 1 1/2 hours to rent the truck because the system was not working then when the attendant finally did a manual / pen and paper transaction he gave me the keys to a different truck then I needed and when I finally got the truck I needed I was not able to move every thing I needed to and have to now spend 3 hours tommorow after work moving the rest of my stuff with my car. will always from now on tell any and everyone to avoid your company as if it was poison.

We booked a larger truck on line, but when the local UHaul people called it was not available any where near our location. The local office here in London were very helpful in arranging a cargo van available at a reasonable place for us to pickup. We had requested a furniture dolly which was missing. We had also requested a hand cart which was also missing, but the Variety Store owner lent us one he had, so that worked out fine. Over-all it was great value and convenience for the money charged. We will use your service again.
