The truck was missing a part that would keep the lift gate from wedging open. We had to come back to the agency for a replacement truck which cost us more than an hour of work time. The agency people were cooperative but the truck clearly had not been checked out properly to begin with. As noted, I think that the agency people did their best to fix the situation that they had created by giving us a defective truck, but the entire experience was unsatisfactory to say the least.

I order a truck from the Ocean location and wanted to do self checkout. The Ocean store was closed even though the computer stated that they were open. I was unable to obtain a key so I had to call customer service after completing the check out process. That whole process was a nightmare. The whole glitched totally messed up my schedule for the day. I had to then travel to the Long Branch location to obtain a truck. The agent at the Long Branch store was very help as well as the customer service rep. that I spoke to on the phone. I have to rent another truck on Saturday 11/30 and I hope that I don’t have a repeat experience.

When quoted over the phone one price and when it was actually picked up and charged another price(way more expensive)wasn’t good! That was u-hauls fault.

The location of the trailer when attaching and returning was a little tricky to maneuver, which I would imagine could cause an issue for someone who is inexperienced, but other than that, very pleasant experience, one of my better u haul experiences to date.

I'm glad they had a truck. I had a reservation for a different location and was told an hour before I was supposed to pick it up that it was not going to be there, I had no truck. I felt this was unacceptable, but at least another location has a truck. It was several miles out of my way to get the other truck but they were very nice. I was asked about moving blankets, which were on my original order. I was told that they never were going to have moving blankets at the original location. (???). Anyway it ended well but if rather not have dealt with the stress...

It was very frustrating to arrive to pick up our van at a location to find out that it was not accessible through the 24/7 app since they did not leave the keys behind. we then had to drive out of our way to another place to get the van we needed. Once arriving there, the process to obtain the vehicle through the app is long and tedious - needing to retake a photo of driver's license, isn't that already on file? We will not be using this service again

While we reserved the truck 3 weeks in advance, we received a call the afternoon prior to be told no truck available. Had to travel 40 minutes, but UBER to get a truck. Also, app was not working when trying to return the truck.

Just let uhaul know they need yo improve on the computer service, it was very very slow, but it it wasn't the guys fault in the office, he was really trying his best but I guess it was just a busy day for moving. Other than that everything was perfect. Because the service was slow and we waited for a long time the guy let us use the trolley for free, that was kind of him. Thanks and I recommend to anyone and we'll be using your service again.

The location itself was excellent, and I have no complaints there. However, I can’t emphasise enough the fact that changing the truck’s pickup location to be 30 miles away from the U-haul location nearest me is Fucking Bullshit.
