I had to go to two different stores, back and forth, twice just to get the goddamn key. “Go here”, “oh you have to go there”, “go find the truck”, “now go back to the other store”. It literally took me longer than half an hour to get the keys and the entire process was absolutely ridiculous. I’ll never get a U-Haul again because of how insane this experience was. 0/10 would absolutely not recommend. The quote was WAY below what I actually paid. Just a horrible experience. There needs to be WAY more price transparency, WAY more signage and instruction on where to go, and the employees need training on their actual jobs. No one seemed to want to take responsibility for the U-Haul trucks. It was fucking brutal. Never again.

The parking lot is separate from the office. Customer has to drive the unit to the lot then return keys to the office. Shouldn’t be the customers responsibility once the bill has been paid and keys returned.
Margaret VIt’s always been a pleasure to rent from U-HAUL. This time was not as pleasant. The staff were very nice and helpful. The issues were their system didn’t allow to book the day prior to pick up. So arrangements were made to pick up the following day and system should be working. It wasn’t. Still took 45 minutes. Then the dolly that I rented was frozen in ice and snow. I had to dig it out. I’m 62 and in decent shape. However I put my back out removing the dolly from the ice using a wheel nut wrench and my receiver as a hammer. I don’t think this should be the renter’s responsibility. The staff assisted by putting salt as I chipped ice. Again they tried to be helpful. Thanks Vince Loewen

BRETT MVehicle had garbage from previous user. Upon pick up they couldn’t find the keys for the vehicle. Felt disorganized. No one was able to answer my questions and I was told to call the next day to speak with someone who could help.
