Was told many different things. Never got a right answer. Submitted payment information through the app to reserve the truck then I walked in the guy was kind of rude and needed another payment method which I had to get my aunt to give me her card Iit was not a good experience super stressful and waited three extra hours original pick up was at noon didn't get it till 3:00 panda app crashed so I couldn't check in the truck which then they charge me late fee a late fee (returned 1pm when closed)

I thought the lady at front desk was nice. The fact that you go to the business to check in after you do the check in online already to pick up the trailer Then for them to have you drive quite the ways down the road to a very random “lot” to actually pick up The trailer was weird. The plates were expired and before I pulled away I called the office to ask if it was ok and I was told it's uhaul problem and to just go ahead. After I got trailer home loaded I called about billing question and wanted to double check about the plates Which then the location wanted me to return trailer for inspection. I had option to return and then get new one from different location which I would have if I had the extra time to do so but I did not. The trailer got the job done and I paid for just that. The over all experience was stressful.

When following instructions for after hours trailer drop off, Uhaul corporate Rep was not helpful and was telling me to do things I couldn't do for drop off. She was going against what I had a contract to do and suggested unreasonable drop off procedures. Tri Creek had no negative aspect to my drop off, the negative rating was for the individual that I talked to on the phone at Uhaul when I was following instructions given to me.


Great customer service at location. U haul itself has so many questions, it's a joke. Surprised they didn't ask my kids birth dates. The app wouldn't allow me to put my state ID in, Error multiple times. U haul itself needs some more user friendly applications and approaches to business. Highly recommend Tri creek rental though!

For where this location is, it really needs to be stocked more. Most times when I need to pick up a trailer, I need to do it from a different location that is at least 1/2 hour away, because what I need usually is not available from this location.

I paid $7.00 for a utility dolly which was never placed on the truck. The clerk had a very difficult time processing my rental, even though most everything was taken care of online.

I believe this is the truck that was supposed to be picked up at 218 S Virginia St in Rockville IN, however, when we arrived there they had not gone to pick up the truck so had to send us 30 miles to another town. Then the location they sent us to wasn't opened and we had to call and they ended up sending us to another location on the other side of town. so overall, NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL.

There was cereal and wrappers in the passenger side of the vehicle. The U-haul App would not let me upload any photos to show the garbage in the truck or the fact that the mileage was incorrect, so I paid for extra mileage. I cleaned out the garbage, which I shouldn't have had to do because I didn't want to get charged even though I got the truck that way.

The dealer does not know what he was doing: he hooked up the trailer incorrectly, which was too low on the adjustable hitch, also drag the chain on the ground, consequently, the trailer was unsafe to tow, it was bouncing a lot even at a low speed of 50 miles. Also, he did not hood the chains cross over until I reminded him so. And he double charged me for the “safe tow” insurance. I noticed it right away and asked him to correct it, but he does not know how to void the charge. So he said he will do it later after I leave, but 3 days later he still did not refund the double charge. I had to call the credit card company to dispute the $48 charge. His excuse for not knowing his job was “We are not uHaul.” After I tow the trailer for about 15 miles, I stopped in a real uHaul branch in Merrillville for help. The staff there was very kind and helpful. They corrected the trailer's hookup before my 1270 mile journey.

Overall, we were impressed with the people helping us at each facility. However, we were NOT impressed with UHaul. We went a week and a half early to reserve a truck to pick up in our own town. We were sent to the next town about 10 miles away to pick it up. We were told we could drop it off in our town; however, we then received a text to return the truck another 10 miles away in the opposite direction of where we live and where we were moving. It was a complete inconvenience to us, while convenient to UHaul to do the transfers ourselves.


Service sucks. Salesman did not even come out to help hookup trailer. It was in a very tight spot behind there building next to other trailers. I had to pickup the front of trailer andvwheel it out to hook it up

I did not get any credit for the excess gas I put into the truck and I got charged an additional 3.55 up return with no explanation. There was also someone else's name, Jordan Myner, on my documents and I have no clue who that is. Will not use uhaul again.

U-haul changed my reservation the day before to a location over 35 minutes away. The mobile check in took over 40 minutes for the incompetent agent on chat to not release the truck even after providing reference contacts up to five so I had to call the 800 rep who was very efficient and helpful.

My husband said that the gas gauge was not completely on full. He said he should of went inside to tell them. He went to fill up when we where done and filled it to where it was. We got charged 32.00 for fuel. We have rented 2 uhauls in 2 weeks. I guess no one is reversing the fee. Well I guess we will look into another company next time.


Make sure the battery is charged!!! We had to waste time getting a jump during the night hrs& the head lights would not come on! We had to fight with lights. Then we r local, rented for 2 days& my bill came to $387! They charged me $26.25 for gas & we filled it to what was left for us during rental. I ‘rented in the past & was happy w/this company. Traveling frm Lowell to Cedar Lake for 2days. I don't recommend them!
