The truck was suppose to be filled up back to 1/4 and I put in over 10 gallons because every time I turn on the engine the meter did not move. That tricked me into paying 25 dollars worth of gas for a 3 mile trip. Was not happy with the additional hidden fee

Notify the user when the contract gets shortened. We had the uHaul reserved for 10 hours, and we were bluntly informed at pick-up that we had our reservation time reduced without any notification at all. This obviously impacted our entire moving plan negatively.

I have never been so unhappy with the service I have received from a business. After calling Uhaul on two separate occassions only to be informed that the reservation I had booked was not available for the time that had been confirmed to me, the representative assured me that first, I could switch from a truck to a cargo van for 24 hours (because the truck could only be booked for 6 hours). The second time, I called to confirm my rental and was told that the cargo van was only available for 12 hours (after the person I spoke to the previous time had promised the cargo van would have the availability I needed.) The second person promised that yes, this time I was guaranteed to get what I was being promised (a cargo van for 12 hours.) When I arrived at the Uhaul location in Malden the day of my move, I was told that the cargo van was only available until 1pm and that the people I had spoken to had probably just told me it was available to get me off the phone. Not only had I been convinced to take a smaller vehicle under the misinformation that it would be available for longer, but turns out THAT vehicle was available for less time than the truck had originally been available for. Uhaul needs to do a serious overhaul of their reservation process, and train their employees not to promise things that simply never will be possible. I was fortunate to have help moving which allowed me to get everything done in the revised timeframe, but I am sure Uhaul screwed over many other people this weekend who were not so fortunate. It added significant and unnecessary stress to an already stressful moving day. I will not be booking with Uhaul in the future and I urge others to do the same.

They refused to honor my 24-hour reservation. I needed the truck overnight, reserved it in June, and was told they couldn't do that for me. I ended up using the truck for just one night anyway.

Customer Service orchestrated my movie very poorly and basically set me up for failure by giving me a truck at 4:15 PM and access to storage facility that close at 7 PM. Forcing me to keep the truck overnight and have the unpleasant experience of talking to a representative the following morning explaining my entire situation. Too many people involved and I felt handed off and disregarded. Horrible service

Customer service was great, but the truck was the worst box truck I've ever driven. Hot air blew from under the steering wheel (which is probably very dangerous), the center console wasn't secured, the right side rear view mirror didn't adjust and the left side rear view mirror moved every time the car hits a pothole. Like I said, the general manager was very friendly, but the truck was awful.

Honestly it was the worst costumer service. When I called to order the truck I told her that I need sometime small, then when I got there, the guy gave me the most bigger truck that you guys have and I told him, I don’t need this, I need something diferente and he didn’t want to change it. I’m really dead appointment, because I paid more money that I expected, and at the end I had a lot space for just a few things.

This experience was great. However, whenever UHaul comes up I tell people about how I was screwed over in 2007, when I reserved a truck on Boston's moving day and it wasn't there. UHaul took no responsibility for it and I got the impression that they don't guarantee. When you move, you need reliability.

People really no your company rules. I'm from South Carolina and 24 hours rental are possible even if you don't need it for 24 hours. Upon renting from you this wound have been great to know before the day off rental. Did have time or the means to change at the last min. But its the people personality that get to be a problem. People talk to you like you should already know this instead off explaining how they work. Still I was able to rent, but under a little stress. Thanks any way.
