I booked my vehicle for pickup in Richmond Hill ON a week in advance. Without any request for my agreement - U-Haul unilaterally moved my reservation to the Markham location. WTF? Imagine if you booked a restaurant reservation and the restaurant chain said - "Your table is at a different location". This is not how you treat customers! I will seriously consider your competition before renting from U-Haul. What would have happened if I had someone drop me off at the rental location where I booked my vehicle or I had taken public transit?

Location manager was very friendly. The truck was very clean - this includes both the cab and the box portion. It also appeared to be well maintained. The fact the UHAUL charges a $1 environment fee was not made clear anywhere on the website. UHAUL needs to make this fee visible and upfront, and explain clearly what the fee is for.

The person at that pick up site gave the impression we were bothering him. When we dropped off the truck he said â€œIâ€™m closing and leaving now , you can do check out onlineâ€ but while outside we realized we needed access to truck to take pictures ! ?? However have to say we did talk a manager on the phone and he was awesome ! Rate was very good as well.

I wasted about 15 minutes using the app for the mobile pick up option. One of the steps was to take a photo of myself, but it wouldn't upload. I got frustrated so I called U-haul and thankfully someone was able to pick up within a few minutes. The customer service rep said that the App version in Canada is currently down and that I would have to use the browser on my phone to log in and go through the process. It worked fine, but wish I knew that in the beginning instead of wasting time and getting frustrated. I don't think I will do Mobile share pick up again after that experience.

Using your website to return vehicle and downloading numerous pictures was a total pain . Also unable to listen to traffic with no radio in vehicle is difficult.

Great rental experience! One thing that uhaul can improve is display the cost per mile. All the trucks are from the states so all costs are calculated per mile. Even though the website says $0.59 per kilometre, my final contract was calculated as $1.69 per mile. The math makes sense but itâ€™s better to just display the actual charge of $1.69 per MILE. Other than that, I had no problems!

The truck was not really clean. It needed to be wiped down. The location was very convenient for me but the store itself was very messy. The return process was very lengthy and disappointing. I was not told anything about the drop off. He asked me if I had any questions. I asked him to confirm that the box I saw outside was for the key drop-off as I was dropping it off on a holiday so his store would be closed. He said yes, but did not mention ANYTHING about all of the things I needed, like a picture of the odometer, pictures of the inside & outside of it. It ended up taking me 1/2 an hour to complete the return. Not acceptable. If I had been warned it would have been better.

I returned the car with the level of the gas he asked for, took a picture shows the mileage and the level of fuel, and dropped the key at night. The day after he charged me for the gas and when I claimed that I full it as requested, he sends me a picture with different view of mone!!! I don't know what happened and how this is possible.

The cargo van is clean but have strong smell. I fill the tank based on Gauge on the contract, (57km highway - 8.3 Litre), when returning, I was told it is not good enough, 3/4 is not true, it is more than that, but the CSR can't indicate the level from the system, I got charged about 9m dollars, but got 5 dollar credit after spending more than 30 minutes to explain. Also rear right, there was a scratch, but marked, it is not caused by my trip, CSR told me it is new, after arguing, he said it is new to him, overall, not happy with this rental, previous ones with the convenience store worked very well.

I made a reservation for Duncaster location, They changed my pick up location to a much farther place with a very short notice. Also the time of my pickup was changed. So I had to drive extra 20 minutes each way and be charged for the milage. The man who handled us was extremely rude and impatient, he also did not give us out moving pads that I had booked with the truck, and we had to go back and ask for it. He did not review the reservation with me, and when I asked if there is any paperwork to sign he impatiently waved his hands and said do everything online without showing me. What if a person doesnâ€™t carry a smart phone? Extremely poor customer service, I do not recommend this location at all.
