I always rent from Cupps Auto and will do so again. Friendly and professional service. Clean vans. Easy pickup and drop off. I would have liked to have seen masks worn by staff and customers during the pandemic. Overall, always a positive experience.
Initial App contact is poor. Very tedious to check in and finally get the code to unlock the padlock, get the ignition key and begin.
Cupps was beyond unhelpful. Counter service was rude, had no knowledge of anything pertaining to Uhaul. I will never ever recommend picking up a Uhaul from Cupps to anyone I know.

Very very rude people lady was very disrespectful and in welcoming and threatened to charge me for stuff I never used and refused To take the keys until I move the vehicle three different places everytime I move the truck where she wanted she told me I had to move it again and then wouldn't accept the keys and said she would bill me for another day and was yelling and screaming at me called me a Bitch
Make sure you call someone before sending a tow truck to their home. I was in the middle of cleaning it and you guys had it towed because someone called and said it was stolen when it wasn't. I had to go to Cupps to clean it out so I would not get charged for it.
When I booked this it was in person p/up. UHaul changed that AFTER THE FACT, apparently sending me an email the following morning about the time I left my home and I don't use my phone for personal email! I got there 1/2 hour early and it STILL took me 2 hours to get checked out which ran into my time which UHAUL reps made no allowance for! Talked to 3 UHaul reps - 2 literally hung up on me and the man behind the counter at Cupps REFUSED to help me, said he could not. I also heard the Cupps employee denigrating people based on political party, which I assumed was directed at ME. These people are horribly rude. UHaul reps were useless AND rude and UHaul does not have their policies stated properly on their website regarding their 24/7 bookings and contact requirements. My main contact had just died and I had no one else to list, which would not have been a problem if I had known the other items I could have used. The whole experience was just ridiculous. Never again.
With the whole process being automated, the pickup/dropoff locations really don't matter.
Comment - I put gas in the truck to where it supposed to be. I got a charge for gas disappointed.
Answer ur phones and actually tell ppl about fees before u rent a truck instead of screwing with ppl
We went to this location because our original on online rental was not available at the other Martinsburg location. Thankfully when I called the 888 number, a wonderful staff person was able to set this up as well as give me a $50 refund due to the failure to have the equipment available.
We went to pick up our truck and we did all of the checkin processes and were unable to obtain the 4 digit code to retrieve the truck and the people at cupps were unable to help at all. It was horrible. Then we spent over 45 on hold with U-Haul trying to get it straightened out. We were over an hour late picking up our truck. People waiting over an hour to help us move. It was a horrible way to start a stressful day.
We have rented a UHAUL from Cupps Auto 3 times in the last 5 years and wouldn't want to use anyone else. They have always been communicative, informative and just all around great people to work with.
Straightforward experience. Recommend viewing Truck 24/7 "how to" video on U-Hual website before arrival. No mobile data connectivity issues using Android phone on Ting. Approximately 20 minutes from log-on to driving away. Fully fueled truck with clean cab and cargo area.
The person that handles the rentals and hook ups is arrogant and rude. His attitude changes when he gets outside away from the owners. I will never use this site again: and plan on passing the word. I am very well know in this area.
This was not the original location I was suppose to pick up my 26 foot truck. The origial location was suppose to open at 9am. 9:15am there was still no one there. I called UHaul customer service and they looked into the situation. They said they did not know why the location wasn't open but even if it was open, the truck I reserved was not returned so there was no truck there for me to rent. It is now 9:30am, still no truck, and 4 people waiting at my house to help me move... another truck was located, however it was only 20 feet, and we had to drive further to pick it up. I would love to know how I make a reservation and the truck just isn't there. I would love to know why I wasn't contacted that that was the case so we could have figured this out before I was sitting at the original reservation location. Moving is stressful enough and then to add this unorganized mess on top of it was very unsettling.
It was an absolute cluster!! When Ifirst chose a pick up location I recieved a call from Uhaul that said the location I chose didnt have the sized truck I chose and they wanted to offer me a 26 ft truck that would have to be picked up a few miles away at a new location. I agreed. On the day of pickup I got to the location and was told the only trucks they had were 15ft trucks and they didnt know why I was sent to them. I asked for a number to call and they were 0 help. I stayed on hold for 25 minutes with 1800 Uhaul and hung up because the wait was ridiculous. Finally the lady there gave me another number. The person on the phone found another 26 ft truck at another location. I went there and picked up the truck. The people there were 0 help and was there for at least 30 minutes trying to get the truck. Meanwhile I am paying professional movers that are standing around waiting to work. Also I rented a dozen furniture pads that I was charged for and DID NOT get. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM UHAUL AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVIE EXPERIENCE ANS HEADACHE I HAVE HAD...I DIDNT NEED THIS ON AN ALREADY STRESSFUL DAY THAT EBDED UPCOSTING ME MORE BECAUSE OF TOUR COMPANY'S DISASTER!!
The uhaul rental online process to obtain the vehicle is cumbersome.
