It was a little confusing entering the right door at Stregth Works and to locate someone who worked there to approve of me taking a U-Haul trailer in there parking lot. It felt like we were stealing something (even though we weren’t) bc it was too seamless. Between the SW employee and the sign on the fence directing me to “check in” via QR code, there was no real spot accepting my payment. After we got the all clear from the SW employee to hook everything up to our car and go on our way, i followed a link sent to my phone # to pay, e theres in all my card info - and still wasn't charged. I assumed maybe I would be charged at drop off location? Next morning, after driving through the night up to Michigan, i woke up to an email notifying me that my U-Haul reservation had been cancelled and to call a U-Haul corporate number if there were any mistakes. I called asap, explained my situation, and the woman over the phone (i wish I could remember her name) was SUPER helpful and got everything sorted out for me. Return was even better at the Ypsilanti, MI location. This location was a primary U-Haul location so nothing was confusing and the staff helped us get the trailer off, printed my receipt, and out with in 20 minutes (probably less). Main feedback i have to give is U-Haul partnering with random businesses to utilize their parking lots. While on paper, it works, it was extremely confusing for me the customer to pick up my trailer.

Marsh'a FIt was just a parking lot, and kind of hidden behind a gym. Doesn't need bells and whistles, and definitely didn't have any.
Robyn MI had requested an appliance dolly but none was in the truck. Interior of truck was dirty. App did not work at all which took an additional 25 minutes.
CATHY WI called to confirm they were open and I was on my way. Individual answered with a “hello”. I asked if this was a U-haul location and was told “we have some here”. I told him I am to drop off the trailer and he said come on by. Upon arrival, I could see several trucks and a few trailers line up against a fence, but the business was some sort of a weight lifting gym. I called again and said I was here, thinking there would be some inspection or something to sign, etc. I was told “ok, just leave it there”. I unhooked trailer, took some pics as proof the trailer was not damaged and left. Not once did I see anyone which seemed very odd.
