To process the payment, it was split into two transactions to separate the commission from the money owed to U-Haul. The payment processor for the commission immediately triggered a fraud alert and caused my card to be locked. It took multiple phone calls and two hours on hold to get my card unlocked on the day I should have spent packing a truck. Additionally, I ordered 60 packing blankets and was told they would be at the location by the confirmation agent the day before. Upon checking the truck there were only five blankets. They location manager handed my girlfriend cash and asked her to go to another U-Haul location to pick up blankets from there. That location was 20 minutes away and they had not been told she was coming. Lastly, the truck was filthy. The dashboard was covered in dirt, but it wasn't horrible. I didn't realize it until the next day when I started my trip. I opened the center console and discovered that it was full of spilled soda. The cup holders were broken, and half the vent fins were snapped. I've rented from U-Haul multiple times, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I will do my best to not ever rent from this company again.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkThis was the polar opposite of what I experienced at Bowling Green. This location is not really a U-Haul Store . There is a parking lot with U-Haul equipment, but there is no office. There is a barber shop. I called before I arrive as instructed. I was told to give the keys to the barber. I gave the keys to the barber who was giving a haircut and seemed to speak no English . No inspection of the truck or trailer or fuel level or milage was done. I was given no receipt to show I had returned the equipment. Three days latter I got a e-mail receipt. In Bowling Green I was expertly assisted hooking the trailer to the truck and loading my car onto the trailer and securing it down . Can you imagine how that would have gone at this barber shop. Avoid this location .
charles kBattery was old and died whenever we shut it off and had to get it jumped. The roadside assistance person told us to just leave it running until we gave it back to the uhaul company. Therefore, did not fill it with gas to return it - and was charged extra. Inside was muddy from previous customer. Did not receive dolly or furniture blankets that we requested. Overall very inconvenient and wasted time in an already stressful move. Would not recommend uhaul.
