Only drove truck approximately 50 miles and was charged for 85 miles.
McBride's was GREAT. Nice, clean equipment, fast service and no unpleasant surprises.
Great experience no complaints
There are several dealers in this area. These people close up early, leaving McBride's the only dealer open, even though they have excess equipment to rent. This puts all the strain on McBrides. There should be something that could be done to improve this situation.
When a customer return the U-Haul expectations of the vehicle should be clean, so when the customer goes to rent a U-Haul it should be clean! The U-Haul I rented was not clean and had roaches, and do not have roache, so therefore it's possible I can have them in my furniture now. Not good at all!
They are always very nice
Make sure not to charge excess holding fees when it's not the customers fault that the facility is not open on the next business day after rental. Could have resulted in the customer having several over draft fees.

I was ready to slam U-Haul on social media and never use you again. But the young man (Brandon) who handled our return of the trailer at the Woodstock, GA, location convinced me to try reporting the issues to you first. He said U-Haul really does care and wants to know about bad experiences. First, your call center associate when I called to reserve a trailer (Reservation # Number:86607888) did not listen. I specifically told him that we were in a section of rural Mississippi and I wanted a U-Haul location that could provide all our needs â€” even if it meant driving up to an hour. Thought we were set until arriving the next morning to find an elderly woman at a storage location who informed us we would need to lift the trailer on to our own vehicle and no, she had no equipment/jack or people to help, and no, she had no pads nor any of the other supplies we ordered. She said â€œour business is storage. U-haul is a side business for us and we wouldn't have that trailer at all if someone had not left it outside our gate one night.â€ I called U-Haul back and they were able to re-route me to McBride's that had a trailer, help to hook it up and pads, but none of the other supplies. Lowe's wound up getting our packaging supply business. Bottom line: We spent an extra 2 hours driving around to finally get what we were promised over the phone. We lost 2 hours of helpers who could not stay longer to help. U-Haul's failure to deliver on what was promised added to the stress of a newborn and a funeral (the trailer was to move items from the deceased's house). Do you care?

I had to go buy a taillight kit because light was out. Also, I asked Uhaul to waive fee for extra uhaul I had to add to truck since I was assured repeatedly my things would fit in a 20ft truck. I requested a 26 ft and was called a couple of days before and told one was not available in my town, but the 20 ft would be more than adequate. I explained I had a lot of boxes, big furniture, etc. and was told oh definitely you will have plenty of room. I did not have enough room and had to rent another uhaul to pull behind truck, plus stop and go get it, etc. i recommended to the 2 uhaul reps who told me this that they not give out information inadvertently. I was told Uhaul could not waive fee for extra uhaul. THEN, I had to get someone to go buy a tail light and install so I would not get ticketed. Not a good experience at all. Then when I called the Uhaul number to see if I could be reimbursed for what I bought for Uhaul, I was told to tell the place I return truck, which happens to be closed on weekend.

I didnt like not getting a guarantee that the truck and trailer would be at XYZ location. I schedulef a month in advance, bt didnt know exactly where I'd be picking up until 2 days before.....and even then, there was no real guarantee that the equipment was mine and would be ready when I arrived. It all worked out, but the process offered no real assurance that I didnt need to worry. Moving is stressful enough, without being worried whether or not Ibwould have the equipment and where I was going to go to get it.

Have truck and dolly at location that was requested on the order instead of changing pickup location 45 miles away(one way). The dolly wasn't on truck. Also make sure the person who is paying for the rental is always listed as driver then let them add a driver if they need too. I had a horrible time with U-Haul and still had to pay $450 and rent dolly twice! U-Haul sent the a text to return my truck at one location and when I logged in to return they told me I have to go to another so I have to drive even further. Get your stuff together U-HAUL.
