Mechanically the van was great . A pleasure to drive! They asked me to return in swept and clean, and althought the cab was clean when I got home and opened up the back it was very obvious it hadn't been swept in a while. I returned it swept and clean. It didn't take away from the experience. The ladies in Mechancsville are great!

I was advised to clean out the truck before I return it , But was not advised that the last renter let their trash. So, NN the truck was not clean at the time of renting the truck.

My experience was a little shaky at first because my pick up location kept changing, but met Jill at this store and she is definitely a gem! Jill was very helpful and eager to please during my stressful morning! I wish I could say the same for my drop off. Not that it was horrible, I just felt misinformed about what I needed to do to drop off the truck after hours(by maybe 10 minutes). The lady was nice enough to send me the return instructions. She asked me to park the truck and drop the keys in the slot. But that there was a full instructional video that I could watch at home to finalize my return. I had no idea that I needed to take pictures of cab area, the bed and the odometer/gas tank, answer a few questions. I called the office the following morning to ask if everything was returned properly, even though I did not submit the finalization by phone. Everything turned out ok in the end. I will still recommend to others, as well as use this location for future use.

1) Accept pre-paid debit cards as payment rather than making customer withdraw cash at a bank and hopefully they can find another uhaul location close by that takes cash. 2) Do not expect customers to wait for over 7 hours just to be able to leave with the rental property. This happened to me and it really impeded my time for packing/loading and getting on the road in a timely manner. 3) GOOD thing though- UHaul DID refund me deposit AND an additional $50 due to the transaction confusion. That was very appreciated and kind.

I had attempted to use the app to pick-up the truck but it did not work. Luckily the office was open and I was able to use it. This is the second experience I have had reserving and picking up a vehicle.

This site was going to charge us for bringing it in not clean, when that was how it was delivered to us. They finally saw how upset we were about the whole experience at pick up site that they understood!!

Make clear that fees exist for things such as appliance dollys. I was not told of the fee. Inform customers about where to park a truck with a trailer attached if returning after hours. Space was limited and it was difficult deciding the best place to park so as not to block driveways, etc.

Stop double charging customers. This is the second time I have renting a U-Haul from this particular location and was charged twice. I will have two pending transactions for the same charge then one will go through and the other remains pending holding my funds when U-Haul has been paid already you need to fix this issue and it not on the bank because I called them

Customer Service needs to improve!!! Do not know if this lady was having a bad day but when I returned the truck she acted very rude. It was like she did not want me to be there. I should be the one being rude I just moved furniture all day. I would not want this lady representing my store.

New and more staff on a Saturday morning, especially at the end or beginning of a month. How do you not plan for that?? The young lady working was short with people, rude, complained how tired she was, had no knowledge about how to do things correctly and shes the person scheduled for a Saturday morning at the very beginning of a month? Literally, and i mean literally, I spent as much time in that location that day as i did moving my friend. Between 3 - 4 hours at this location.
