I had ordered the truck from Crum Lynne. On Friday night U-haul change the location to Aston. (no call just an email, glad I read it) Crum Lynne is 1 mile from my home and was open at 8:00 AM the Aston location is not open until 9:00 AM and is 30 minutes away. ( I had people at my house at 8:00 AM to move) My move was 1 mile. I expected to use the truck for no more than 5 miles. I should be reimbursed for the increased mileage change but U-haul says no. Even though I recommend the Aston location I will not recommend U-haul. I had a copy of my reservation at crum lynne but would not honor it! As Jerry Seinfeld said "You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them."

This location was great. My original location forgot to set up my truck for late night pickup and the agent with customer service for app pickups lied and said that the issue was the number of bars of service I had. Unacceptable. I could have been told before traveling to this location that the rental wasn’t ready. Instead I wasted an hour of precious time visiting family driving around an empty neighborhood trying to get better reception.

Horrible experience all the way through. Dishonest staff. Unhelpful area manager. Had to inspect the vehicle myself when I picked it up. The mileage was incorrect in the contract. To the company’s benefit of course. When I returned the vehicle the staff member was too busy chatting with a friend to inspect the vehicle. Much to my surprise I receive my bill with a $25 cleaning fee, and I’m charged for the extra mile I reported was off when I picked it up. Called the location to dispute and the staff member told me she couldn’t take off the charge for cleaning even though she was the one who put it on. Lied and stated there were cups and forks in the cab when I didn’t even go to any places with food and put nothing in the cab. Then told me I could call the 800 # but they are very busy so they “might” call me back. When I called the 800 number I received the only helpful person who I interacted with through the experience, but she could not provide a resolution, only open a file for someone else to resolve. The area manager, Laura, called back to resolve- did not address the service issues and simply left a voicemail stating she would remove the cleaning fee. Didn’t even read the file well enough to address the mileage issue. Called her and her response was useless as well. When I have to take time out of my day to call 3 times because your staff is lazy and dishonest, you should be doing something more to make it right! Don’t trust this location- don’t trust U-haul staff. As no one has bothered to do the right thing here, I will make sure others know as well.

Attendant was helpful, but this location was busy. The UHaul computer system went down on the customer in front of me. The attendant had to use the old school method of charging (the slide machine), this in turn delayed me and the customers behind me. This time delay pushed my moving day behind a bit, which is stressful when moving out of state as we had a 5 hour drive after loading our truck.

I had used this location for moving once before and had a perfectly normal experience. I picked up my truck, I moved, and then I dropped it back off with no problems. After this experience I will never use that U-Haul location again, and honestly I would tell anyone who asked, never to go there. During this experience, I picked up my truck on time and the man who runs the place was very friendly and I let him know I would be dropping the truck off around 9 pm. He told me my code to get into the gate after hours and we thought all was well and good. At 9 pm we returned to drop the truck off and our code didn't work. We tried over and over again to get in and it did not work. I called the next day at 9 am to inquire about not being able to get in and the man who runs the place was extremely rude to me. I've never been spoken to that way by a person in customer service in my life. ESPECIALLY because he was in the wrong. He told me my code was my phone number and the code he programmed for the gate was my wrong phone number, even though he had the correct one on file. No big deal, except that when I explained to him that he had used the wrong number he acted like it was my fault. When I said I wouldn't be able to drop the truck off until 11 am because I had important appointments that morning that I could not miss, he harassed me and said that he had someone who needed the truck. His over booking is not my problem, technically I rented the truck for 24 hours and the 24 hours would not be up until noon. It was his fault that he entered the code wrong and did not once apologize. I dropped the truck off as soon as I could so I could be rid of him and the truck because at that point I did not feel comfortable waiting until 11, just in case he retaliated against me by charging me more because he over booked. Not my problem. In the end, I'm not saying that I would never use u-haul again, but I am saying that he should re-evaluate his customer service because like I said, I have never been treated so rudely in my life. Disgusting behavior.

The truck was very dirty inside the cab. They cup holders had soda in them. The console was sticky and very dusty. There was pet hair all in the cab. The windshield looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. When you spend over $300.00 on something you should be able to enjoy it. Overall it was gross. Never again

Wonderful people to deal with. My only complaint is someone smoked in the van I rented. I'm asthmatic so I was worried about my breathing. I would ask that this should be addressed but I would tell all my friends how easy it was to rent the 9 ft. Van .
