My experience with the staff at the U-Haul location was excellent. The customer service was very good, and the people at the location were helpful and professional. However, I do not think it is fair that U-Haul charges the same price for older trucks and newer trucks when the difference in the overall experience is significant. Unfortunately, I was given an older truck, which made the rental much less comfortable and convenient. The truck had manual windows, an older air-conditioning system, no backup camera, and lacked several of the features available in the newer trucks, even though both types cost the same. Since these are large vehicles, features like a backup camera and better air conditioning make a big difference. For that reason, my experience with the U-Haul product itself was disappointing this time, although I want to emphasize that the customer service at the location where I rented was excellent.
