Your integrated IT system for customer experience is great- booking based on real-time inventory, etc. The system seems very slow though, mostly for your colleagues in the call centre and at the front desk...



I would recommend only if they will rent a 4hours block in the morning only. I had trouble returning the van and drop the keys. the mobile system would not work and the location closed their doors before closing time. I'm really not impressed by the customer service. Luckily I speak English and was able to call at the customer service phone line probably somewhere in the U.S. and the lady was able to fix everything for me. I've worked in stores and customer service all my life and never did we kick out people at exactly 5pm closing time or never did I hang up the phone on a call if my shift was up. If you can't pay the guy for an extra 15 minutes there is a problem. Closing time was 5pm not 4:45pm. This is unacceptable.

Sort out your UHaul online reservation system. My wife, 32 weeks pregnant with twins, and I carefully mapped out and booked our UHaul rental for the location close to our home to go pick up all of the baby furniture we'll need for the coming month. Instead of a smooth pickup, we were informed that our reservation was cancelled and booked at another UHaul about 10km away. All we received was an additional email the day before informing us of a rental at a UHaul location I did not select. Some asshole at that location (2000 rue Notre Dame E., Montreal, QC) working there yelled at me when I called to say I didn't make the reservation. No one informed me that the initial cargo van I rented was not available. No one cancelled my reservation. I did not receive an email to tell me that there was a change or cancellation to my initial reservation. The jerk I spoke with at the Notre Dame location kept yelling that he could not see the other reservation as though that were my fault. He ended up cancelling it on me with no explanation, despite my request to keep my initial reservation. We ended up spending and extra $25 in cab rides to get to the Montreal West location after the nice guy at the St. Jacques location made a manual reservation for us. The guy at the Mo West location was great, but the system tried to charge us for 2 full days when we returned the van shortly after close. We were nearly 1.5hrs late getting on our way due to UHaul's screw ups. You have been in the business a very long time, and we expect better treatment, especially after having used UHaul numerous times for many years. Not impressed at all.



The amount of attention during the pick-up was amazing. Very detailed oriented person who helped in hooking up the trailer and making sure all was OK. I felt a valued customer.



To whom it may concern: When I rented the truck the gas gauge was near the seven eights mark. The gentleman who rented it to me circled a the required amount upon returning vehicle on a replica gas gauge he had on a paper. As I used the vehicle for very few kilometers I put ten dollars of gas into it at the gas station closest to the U-Haul site. When I entered theUHaul site a gentleman immediately checked the gas gauge and told me I was going to be billed 18 dollars as the gas gauge was below where it ought to be. He said it would take at least ten dollars more. As the rental contract had not expired, I returned to the gas station and put ten dollars more of gas in the vehicle. This caused the needle to indicate full! I found this very upsetting. I believe if any more gas was required-it would have been $2.00 at most.Jim

There was grease on the floor in the cargo area that I could not wipe off. I was not prepare with any material to cover it. Several of my boxes got greased-up. I could not avoid it. I had too much cargo to move. But now these boxes have to be brought into residential homes. Not good!! The location was under staff. It is moving weekend in montreal which all the management has known for decades. Turning over trucks all day, they needed someone cleaning & several at the counter. Pickup & return dates there was just one. If the manager was not able to find workers, the manager should have been there to support his employee. That is why they must have a shortage of workers, no support from the management. Must be lacking other skills too. Time for new level of management. Probably upper management too. Since the manager was probably not trained so well



As a customer I am entitled to be served in English and have my contract and info in English regardless of being in the province of Quebec. I asked for my contract in English and it was printed in French. The clerk said "we are in Quebec, all info is in French" I responded we are in Montreal and I asked for them in English, it's in my right. Along with emails, they should also be in the language that I prefer, considering that I am the customer .



Worst experience ever, I wont start has I already spend so much time arguing with them, all for nothing. I don't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

They called to confirm my trailer and when I advised that I needed to extend the pickup day forward to the next day they obliged with out any hesitation. And sent follow up email and text message to confirm. On pickup day the service man was efficient and helpful with the hookup and contract process. 5 star performance.

I placed an order online with the following options: 1) I ordered a queen size mattress cover 2) I excluded the 18.00$ damage Insurance Still when I went to pick up the equipment, my online order was changed. They did not provide me the mattress cover and then the damage insurance was added to my bill. I asked them specifically to remove the insurance and they did not change the order and just gave me the printout of the estimated bill and wrote on it to remove damage insurance. I had to ask for the mattress cover again. and I had to pay for it separately. I was charged on my credit card 3 charges for which I do not know the details. The final bill was never sent to me and I think I have to open a claim with my credit card company. The customer care phone # 1-800-468-4285 option 3 is never answered. I waited 15-30. Really bad

Stressed and tired experience! I planned carefully my moving and I did a reservation of a Truck 17 on July 4th to get it on July 29th (88660102). I prepared my team (6 people) for the day and time scheduled. However, my surprise in that day was which the equipment was unavailable. The attendant told me and for my wife that the equipment was not returned yet and he did two calls for the customer. How the customer did not answer, I asked him about the other equipment, as Truck 15, but he tell me that the schedule was full. After that, he started to attend others customers. When other attendant come and tried again make a contact with the customer, without answer, and she told us that must to attend others customer, that she does not have nothing to do, I questioned her that my problem should be solved too. Will we lost our moving day if the Truck not come back? So, she offered us the keys of her car and I told her that was not a personal problem, but they not presented any solution for our situation. We insisted in this point and she proposed a Van for two days and we could change the equipment if the Truck 17 come back. We accepted. After few hours she told me that had another Truck and that I could change. I spoke with my team and they decided to continue because we will lost again more one hour, as minimum. Then, my moving was finished at 8pm, with five times going and coming, when my previous plan was to concluded at 3pm with one trip. When I left the Van in the store, I was exhausted.

Malgré que nous avions reçu une confirmation de notre réservation l'équipement réservé n'était pas disponible et ils nous ont fait courailler à trois endroits avant de trouver l'équipement réservé. Avec cela nous n'avons pu déménager que deux heures plus tard. À quoi ça sert d'avoir un site Web si la réservation que l'on fait n'est pas respectée! !! J'avais déjà entendu parler de cette situation par d'autres et ça vient de nous arriver. C'est très décevant et fâchant en plus de faire attendre des gens qui étaient prêts à nous aider pour déménager. Donc ce site n'est pas fiable du tout et ce n'est pas professionnel.



Nous avions pris des arrangements avec une autre succursale (Lafleur) , mais a celle -ci il n'y avais pas personne . Nous sommes alors aller a Mtl-Ouest et les gens la bas nous ont dépannés .

Le system d'encrage (lattes de bois) pour sécuriser le matériel à l'intérieur du camion n'est pas l'idéal. Un système en métal ajustable pour être utilisé avec courroies ajustable serait plus pratique.

La remorque était extrêmement salle, beaucoup d'huile sur le sol. Il a fallu nettoyer le sol avant de l'utiliser, ca salissait nos affaires.
