Basically it was a corner store that was 2 towns away from the location I requested. This resulted in an extra 45 minute drive (a favor from a friend) to get me to my truck. There was a poor voicemail broken english voicemail to inform me of the location change rather than an email or text. Also once I got there, the corner store owner made me wait for all the other customers to purchase wine, liquor and food before dealing with me. There were 5 non uhaul customers I had to wait behind before I could rent my truck. The store owner was rude and shitty.

Weak wireless signal in the area of the store renders the rental pickup a real hassle if you try to use the pre-arranged pickup process. You have to walk around trying to find even a weak cell signal to use the .com site, and if it works, it is very slow to upload the necessary authentication photos. Uhaul should warn people of this problem so they can plan ahead or use another location with adequate cell service, unless you want to pickup between noon and 4PM!!, apparently their "open" hours. Store workers have no ability to help. My pick up process took over 60 minutes and the promise of early pick up made the day before was unknown to clerk who works in grocery, not Uhaul. Finally, although the van was newish and ran ok, the INSIDE of the windshield was filthy and really a problem in the sun, reducing visibility and making the driving less safe. The rental site was closer to my home but really not worth all the trouble to use this location. The previous user left trash in the van, and the floor was dirty enough that you would not want to put anything clean like a mattress or carpet on it without first covering it with a tarp. Not good enough.

I could not get into the lock box and neither could the owner of the lock box. I had a reservation at 630 and don't get the U-Haul until the owner arrived! I couldn't make the free recycle center in time with the load of wood so I had to pay 150 for the other place!

The person on the phone at uhaul (800 number) was terrible. She tried to have me drop off at a far away location, not the location a few miles away that I initially requested. She then said I could drop off at my preferred location but wasn't going to give me an address until I asked for it. I asked if they were open and she said they're closing soon and I could call them if I wanted to know. Bug she didn't even give me the phone number until I had to ask for it. And to top it off, the phone number she provided was disconnected.

Allow me to pick up the truck from the requested location on the requested day. I ad to pick up a day early to accommodate the location, as it did not open until 5 hours after my reserved time. Then I had to drop it off a day earlier I was very unhappy

If you are going to provide an estimate, I feel you should also list any extra fees, such as a "rental tax" tacked on after the uhaul was rented. Feels really shady anything outside of sales tax. Should be part of the rental price quote.

At arrival to turn in the rental truck, the employee who assisted me was not only rude, but he denied the fact that I had mistakenly left a $132.00 pair of Ray-Ban sun glasses in the cab when I went back to collect after About ½ hour or so.

the first truck that they gave me there was something wrong with the breaks and the personal knew it about this but they still gave it to me. they didn't even bother to you and check it with me when they hand the key.

I was charged for pads and a dolly that I never ordered and the agent couldn't figure out how to refund my money. Then I received an email from U-Haul asking for a review. The email offered an addy to write to if you wanted to speak with someone, so I wrote an email. Unfortunately, it's an invalid email address, I'm not happy and want my money back please.

Took over 30 minutes to process my online reservation, which should have cut my wait time in half, according to the U-Haul site. After 30 minutes it was still not done, and the price was all wrong (equipment rental I did not select, price per mile higher, etc). The gal said this happens every time with online bookings, and I should just rent on-site (was very irritated that she didn't say that to start with and save me 30 minutes). That process took another 15 minutes.
