We had checked the truck in two days before the due date. The clerk at this location--although friendly--did not inspect the vehicle at the time. Instead, she asked me to move it to the back of the facility and return the key to the front desk. On the date the truck was due to be returned (which was two days later), we received the final receipt that indicated the truck had been checked in on that date (the check-in time was correct)--NOT on the actual date we had returned it--AND a cleaning fee had been charged! Two of us had carefully cleaned the truck out (cab and box) the day before we returned it, and two others of us had very carefully folded all of the furniture pads and had placed them back into their bags. So, why was a cleaning fee added? Were we supposed to clean the bugs off of the grille or something? Anything could have happened to that vehicle during the time it was left on the lot and the time entered for check-in (which, as mentioned, was two days after we dropped it off)! Now, it is our word against theirs. May this serve as a cautionary tale: If you return a vehicle to this location, make absolutely sure they inspect it while you are still there AND make sure they check it in immediately! Better yet, request another return location.

A source of frustration was the time it took to process the rental due to the clerk being distracted by her toddler. Then, after driving 20 minutes to the location of our move, it was discovered the dolly was broken. I had to drive back across town to exchange it for a functioning dolly (40+ minutes of driving). On another note (not the fault of the location), we had reserved the truck to be picked up at a location closer by, but the day before pick up, were told we had to go to a further location to pick it up. The company should have driven the truck to the destination where we had reserved it, rather than costing us the extra time and gas expense of driving it across town.
