I would recommend this location but with caution. Never assume the staff know how to connect a trailer to your hitch properly. I learned the hard way even though no tragedy or damage but the trailer came off the ball after 250 miles when the car went on the ramp! Obviously this guy isn't that good and I should have double checked. Otherwise it all went well.

I had a reservation and went to pick up a 15feet truck from this location on August 19th 2007 at 10am. I will tell you i will never go back to this location ever. The gentleman that was taking care of me was using excessive profanity in front of a customer. They were very unprofessional people there. I want to let the manager know but i was in a hurry to move my stuff...Again i will not go back to this location ever...Thank you!

The truck had 101k miles on it & transmission slipping I UN-checked safesaver but was still charged You put a hold on my estimated bill immediately but my final bill no. - I don't see the lesser amount corrected yet

My reservation was transferred to Nanuet after the Monsey, NY site (78 Route 59, Monsey, NY) failed to open their store. I appreciated Nanuet's accommodation and found Monsey's behavior disgraceful - how could they simply just not show up?? My experience with Monsey was terrible; my experience with Nanuet was excellent.

Van was very dirty with garbage in it from previous user. However this location did not give me a hard time about bringing it back the same way, although it was actually cleaner.

VERY PLEASED WITH THE WHOLE TEAM AT THIS LOCATION. ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG LADY THAT RECEIVED MY TRUCK UPON RETURN. SHE WAS VERY KIND AND COURTEOUS WHEN GOING OVER MY RETURN AND WHY I NEEDED THE TRUCK. Very satisfied with nanuet and white plains location. Very disappointed that we had to go to a location 25 minutes out of the way when i was not told thst when i made order that it was an option. As we were moving across the country we could not cancel. It was inconvenient. I was also told that i would receive a call back last Monday after i called customer service. I received nothing. From white plains location we initialed that truck not damaged upon received. However did not see side swipe dent. Almost got charged for something we did not do. Horrible of us for not seeing it. Good thing we paid insurance

we arrived for our 11:30 scheduled pick up and were told the equipment had not been returned from the previous customer. We were first informed the customer was running late and would be back in an hour . Well, that turned into 3 hours! we were supposed to be at a friends house for a scheduled pick up at 12:30. well that didn't happen. In addition, we had food in the car that all went bad due to the HOT weather conditions. the staff at the uhaul were not helpful at all. they did not offer any apologies or recommendations. we realized we did not have the proper lights to connect the uhaul. how could a uhaul location not have in inventory parts that could be used???? this is absurd. Once we got the uhaul 3 HOURS LATER and then made our pick up, we had to drive 40 minutes to get the lights put on - which costs us time and more $. This took over an hour - although the rep was very helpful at this location. Once we finally got on our journey at 5:00 !!!!! we sat in rush hour traffic. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WHAT MADE IT EVEN WORSE IS THE STAFF HAD NO SYMPATHY. I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT ONCE THE UHAUL WAS RETURNED AND PUT ON OUR CAR, THE MANAGER WOULD HAVE COME OUT AND APOLOGIZED AND MADE SURE WE WERE ALL SET. APPARENTLY, HE WAS IN THE BACK WAREHOUSE.

Its VERY aggravating that Uhaul trailers still have the old style flat electrical connectors. Every newer suv/truck has the circle 4/5 pin connector now and Uhaul doesn't give out the adapter. Instead, I was told they sell the adapter and they are 20 bucks, therefore forcing me to buy one. I bought the last one and they said they sell tons of them. Maybe it's time to adapt your trailers to everybodys car instead of us adapting to your trailers! Clever way to squeeze an extra 10-20 bucks from the consumer.

Uhaul in general is the best, top notch customer relations and overall responsiveness. With this said, the Nanuet location by far is superior.. I owe it to the GM, erik who I know has been there for at least five years. Every year I move and always come back to this location because of the suberb service.. Well done!

The attendant at the location Chris Nunez went beyond his duty. When I returned the truck I did not have a ride to take me home, which is about 2 miles from the location. I asked him if he could drop me home , because it was a very hot day and I would not be able to walk it. He said, "I will be right back" and he dropped me home! Thanks Chris! The facility needs more upgraded trucks in the 15 feet class for customers that can only drive that size trucks, They are old and needed replacement.

The return was fine but the entire experience was AWFUL! Customer service was helpful when things went wrong but they shouldn't have had to come to my rescue. This was terrible planning on Uhauls part.
