In addition to this location in New Britain, I originally booked my reservation in Hartford even though all the surrounding locations were showing no availability. Jen at the Brainard Rd location in Hartford was able to secure a reservation for me at another location first thing in the morning.

Penny WTHIS IS NOT A KNOCK ON THE PICKUP SITE BUT AGAINST UHAUL CORPORATE! Original pickup location was moved to here. When I went to use mobile pickup, it said to call Uhaul. Called, was told there would be a 1 hour wait! Went inside and owner contacted Uhaul, and discovered truck that was GUARANTEED to be there, was not there. Found another through uhaul, and that was that. Poor Uhaul corporate functioning.
MATTHEW CThe S-hooks on the safety chains were not able to fit my Honda Factory Hitch properly. The S hooks were made with parallel sides and about a 3/8" opening. I pushed one up from underneath and was barely able to engage it with the heavy steel plate of the Honda hitch. They stayed on during the rental. The fellow at UHaul could not get them on. I frankly got lucky. Your chains are too long. We always need to wind them up to make them shorter so they don't drag on the ground. I've rented trailers at U Haul Plainville mostly at least 6 times... all the safety chains are ridiculously long. It's not like you don't know the distance to the ball hitch... it's going inside the coupling.
