I dropped it off after hours so the closest gate was locked. Going around from Gate 1 made me feel a little like I was on the scene of a gangster movie. (This really comes down to my timing more than anything else.) Because it was after hours I didn't see the store or interact with anyone, but they were prompt to process the truck and email me a final receipt in the morning, which I appreciated. This location has a lot of vehicles so I would recommend it as a good option for pickup.

Everything would have been perfect, if it wasn't for the fact that, due to it being a holiday, the location gates close at 2pm. I had rented the truck until 8pm, and the person there told me to just return the truck on the next day. Since I don't have anywhere to park a truck overnight, I had to make sure I was done with it before 2pm, so I could still return it on the same day.

The location was slow and backed up. Not enough staff, nowhere safe to park, hot office and trains make it undesirable for pickup or return. That last one isn’t their fault, but it should be noted to customers. The other thing is the mileage versus kilometres thing was confusing and cost us more than expected. Almost every country in the world uses kilometers, including your own booking agents when discussing rentals. Get with the times.

Explain the charges and how it works beforehand so that the customer is not left unsure about how they will be charged. Was expecting to be paying $100 something. Ended up paying $250 because of this.

The tank was almost empty, which meant I had to go and get gas before I started my trip, I had no clue what to put in the tank, and ended up bringing it back with a quarter of a tank too much gas which I was not reimbursed for. the man leaving with his van just as I arrived was furious because his van was empty as well. He said so I have to tack on kms to go to a gas station before I even start my trip. I was not impressed when I was explaining to the owner that I had over filled the gas tank, he began talking in Indian to a man there who went and checked the gas. I think he is purposely leaving the tanks empty so that people are over filling the tanks upon return. I will not go there again, nor will I recommend it. I spent ages getting my passport ready and telling people uhaul would be calling, like the website said. He didnt even want to see my passport, nor did he call anyone.

I was disappointed when I had arranged for an auto transport and arrived to find that U Haul had changed my pick up location. Notification by email is useless when I am traveling and I do not carry a cell phone. And I had called at 7:10 AM that morning to verify location. Wrong location was very helpful.

U-Haul reservations is a disaster. Took 5 hrs to get a trailer. Battling the incorrect quotes throughout. By the time we got our trailer we could only do half our move. Very displeased

Neither the pick-up nor drop-off location was the location that I had tried to book (requested) and had anticipated using for a one-way long haul truck. The Westminster drop-off location was a hole-in-the-wall garage that was poorly signed and well back and out of sight from the road. The truck return was uneventful and quickly addressed. When I asked a few questions about the rental invoice I was simply told to telephone the corporate office - not their problem. If I had not told them about the blankets and dollies in the truck, they might never have looked for, removed and secured them. It seemed apparent to me that their U-Haul business was a small sideline for their truck garage.

Have the correct phone number on u-haul website. The number provided was a fax number and had to look up the company the truck was located at to call them and confirm.

The VAN was so filthy that I had to clean before put my furtinure in. Also was smelling terribly. Next time, please, clean the van before rent to the next customer.

This last location was fine the problem was the whole prosess. First I book a trailer from the Surrey location 3 or 4 days before, when I went to pick it up they told me it was broken, just until that moment, then I book another one over the phone and they say it will be from Delta and Sunday the 17th, I called that Sunday to confirm and they said my booking was canceled, I did not canceled it, finally they told me there is one from New Westminster but they open at 10 and close at 12, I said I am not sure if I can make it, can I return it next day and he said no, I ask what happens if I do not return it on time and he said you can return it the next day (all this was with customer service) when I got to the dealer he mention that they close at 5 and if I come back after I can leave the tow dolly at the back of the building. your customer service is terrible but the New west Minsters dealer is good.

The staff disappeared for 1 hour. The internet system is slow sometimes it took me about 25 min to get the paperwork. The gentlemen before me said it took him about 50 min for paperwork. It is pathetically slow. It was an embarrassment. An example of how not to run a business. I would have expected much more.get the guy a g4 wireless set up because the phone moteum is absolutely useless. I was 1 hour late which caused me issues at my pick up spot. I also had to wait with the previous renter and he said it took 50 min for his papers the. The guy Bob disappeared for 1 hour. Tell him he should post a sign of when he is back. The offic is a disgrace. I did not even want to sit down. Has not been cleaned ever I think. I expected more from unquote. The truck was clean.

It was a little confusing figuring out where to park the truck but otherwise it was a dark, cluttered parking lot where you drop a key in a box.

Loading bay lights did not work, no blankets or straps were provided, no review of former marking provided either. Go through and be sure all markings are clear, prove that all lights work, and ensure customer has both a lock for the back and some moving blankets and straps.

The owner/worker was rude and told myself and the other guy renting a truck a different story about the same truck. I ordered furniture pads and the email I received confirmed they would be there. They weren't and I didn't get to use furniture pads to drive 14 hours. He didn't have information of when the vehicle was last serviced except that it only had 17,000km on it so it would be fine. I confirmed my order one month, 2 weeks and 1 day before pick up. They got the pick up date, time and location wrong. My plans were screwed andni was at the mercy of uhaul because I was a one-way trip. I would NEVER use uhaul again and would hire a moving company instead for long haul moves.

Most worst experience I have gone through. Never had the right truck even though I reserved the truck 2 weeks in advance wrong size storage even though I booked mouth in advance. I thought it would be no stress but your company put me through hell and leave at this note your depot in Abbotsford tryed to charge me for extra for fuel when I brought it back under a half a tank then I asked for them to double check want the fuel was at when I picked up at and it was just under a 1/4 of a tank pretty unprofessional not very happy at all wouldn’t recommend your company to mow body in happy and angry DwayneDolzanski

When I first booked the truck I also asked for 12 blankets and 1 solely, by the time I picked it up I was told that they only had 6 blankets and no solely. The clerk said I'll give you back $10 Because I don't have a dolley for you, so I asked him how is $10 is going to help me carry heavy stuffs? He replied sorry I can't help you. I didn't get 12 blankets and a dolley as I initially booked. The day after I returned the truck I received an e-mail from another clerk asking me to return the fillet or else I'll charged for it, so I had to call the clerk to clarify everything the next day.

Longer hours and.better sineage would be appreciated. It was hard to find the building and harder to find the uhaul office. We were lucky someone was at the first set of buildings to send us in the right direction, or we may have had issues with dropping off the truck.
