They couldn't find my reservation. They had half as many blankets as was requested and did NOT update my contract to show that. They made me ask for help moving vehicles so I could get my truck. Poorly run. Poor service. Would not use.

Absolute disaster checking in and checking out. Nobody spoke English, had to wait endlessly for someone to help me and the gas station people seemed to care less about it. You should not have those people rep your brand if you want to have happy customers.

Customer service at the 117th street and 1st Avenue location is horrible. The staff is rude and very unfriendly.

The people were fine. But any time someone came in for lotto or gas the guy would stop and tend to them making me wait. The location is difficult for big vehicles, once I was finally in the van I then had to wait for other cars that were parked in front of it to move. Same deal when dropping off. Next time I'll go to a formal Uhaul location.

Very stressful pickup location. Was yelled at and told to come back in the morning then was given keys to a truck without them checking the mileage and gas gauge which made me unsure of how much gas to return it with etc. In addition the reservation process was very unclear about the 'preferred' pickup location. If I had known they were going to switch my pickup from Chelsea to east Harlem I would have made other arrangements because picking up in east Harlem made the entire process so much more difficult and time consuming

absolutely terrible experience. I literally had to push a car out of the way to get my rental truck (at the attendant's instruction). the truck was a mess and had more damage then was indicated. attendant was not willing to list the damage. the truck's paperwork also listed that it had more fuel then it was supposed to have. when I went to return the truck, I was told that they do not take returns. I had to take the truck to a different locations (and pay for additional mileage). the place I returned the truck to said they do not take returns for local trucks and that I would have to pay a fee as I was not returning to the original location. The original location would not take the return!! absolutely terrible experience - I should be refunded.

They were very busy. The owner of the store was helpful but the other clerks were not. It took 10 minutes for the clerk to get the manager. Once i was dealing with him everything was fine.

When I arrived at this location the employees were incredibly rude to me and told me they didn't have room to accept my drop off even though it was scheduled. I called uhaul and the representative was very helpful in dealing with these awful employees and she was forced to call several people on my behalf before they would accept my return. I will never use this location again.

To give a little bit more advise about the bridge pay. I went to an easy pass /cash didn't have any cash to pay the tall had to call the u-haul to see how to pay the bill.



Took nearly an hour to get vehicle. It was dirty and smelled terrible.

It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a gas station attendant that is prioritizing other customers as it's painfully obvious uhaul is outsourcing the responsibility of their vehicles to gas stations. It is at odds with the rather attentive emails which do provide good contact and info with the customer. Furthermore, it seems unfair but typical that uhaul suddenly doesn't have enough vehicles at the original location I chose and had to relocate me, creating a significant delay in my original plans. This 'hands off' approach to their business has always frustrated me as there is a large sense of inconsistency in quality service.

The last two times that I rented a van from this place, the gas amount put in the contract was always less than what the actual amount of gas shown in the van. This last time the contract stated that it was full, however, it was about a little over 3/4 full. However, I returned it completely full. I used the van for only 14 miles and afterwards the gas needle was on 3/4. How would I have used a quarter of a tank in only 14 miles? I explained it to the manager on duty to no avail. However, if I continue to rent from this place, I am going to have the manager come out to check the gas before leaving the place. I don't care to pay whatever the rental is, what I don't like is to be robbed. It just so happen that when I noticed it, I will be on my way to what I am supposed to do with the van, that it is not worth coming back to complaint about it. That is a bad practice, which should be taken care of. If they have done to me for two times in a row, I can only imagine that the same thing has happened to other customers who may not see it worth complaining about it.
