I rent cars with u-haul always but the attendant did as was the first time and this still because I did booking by app and no count that there are a gate and she waiting in other side and then we touch the bell but nobody give minimum, is being each time worse rent a car from u-haul In Newark the treatment are horrible!

Staff didn't know how to rent the u haul. It was slow and they were not really that attentive. They obviously were not trained that well. Also parking is a nightmare and I didn't see an obvious sign or door of where to enter. I kinda just snuck in and we were both surprised.

For THIS establishment? Not a thing. However, the establishment (830 Broadway, Newark, NJ) that botched the booking, and started an avalanche of errors, which led me to Premiere Towing? A docking of pay for everyone working there is the worst thing i could think of.

I'm sorry but worst U-haul experience ever. Me & my husband bought a food truck from Newark & my husband & I told the lady who gave us the auto transport we needed a flatbed & she proceeded to tell us the transport is what we needed, that it would get us where we had to go no problems but as soon as we got on the highway we started fish tailing so my husband put the breaks & we almost flipped off the ramp! He managed to get off the highway & we parked the first chance we had but we were stuck under a bridge in Newark for 4 hours ( we never been there before & had no clue where we where at) & we had to pay $89 for the auto transport & another $350 for a tow truck. If someone works for your company they should know the limitations & capacity of every moving equipment you have because if my husband wasn't a great driver me & him would probably be dead, & the location was ridiculous in a garage where the only entrance is the actual garage door with a door bell that don't work & the lady who worked there worked out of a room that looked like a jail cell (well at least 2 cells put together) a space heater & a computer that kept freezing. This was the worst u-haul experience ever ( so far)

This experience caused a cascade of negative charges & effects upon my account, whereas I specifically asked not to charge my account/card as I would pay cash when returning the truck, as I've done in the past. Well upon drop off, my card was already charged & cash was refused. Totally disappointed !!!

The customer service in this location was unhelpful. The location was very tight. I asked her for help return the auto trasporter to the required space and she said she can’t. I was struggling as the location in a very active street. Asi don’t have the skills to back up auto transporter in very tiny path. I have forced to disattach the auto transporter for my car with help of a U-Haul customer to PUSH the transporter using ower hands. I blocked the broad st for almost 5 minutes which is one of the most active streets in Newark

The biggest issue is when it comes to making an online reservation to going into the store and picking up. The online quote is one thing but then the rates happen to change when I went to pick up the truck. The manager at this store was unable to change the truck rate so I was charged double what I was quoted. Thankfully Uhaul was able to refund me the difference but I was on the phone with them for over 2 hours which did not help when I was trying to move. Luckily I was able to afford to pay that amount upfront because of a good credit card otherwise I would not have been able to pick up the truck because of the major difference in rates. What I had to pay was double what I was quoted. When you are moving you do not really have extra money for those expenses. So my advice is just to be cautious with online quotes.

Show on the web site the address where the customer will be getting the vehicle and don't let them reserve unless they click that they will be picking up the vehicle at ..... street. And click that the code to pick up the keys after check in is.... Also let them know they will need to be able to access their Uhaul account. The customer service inside the Uhaul was Excellent and the only reason you got the down grade is because of the way you have the reservations set up. The lady let me come in early and get the van through her which was a huge help for me with my move. Thank you

Make sure You don't double charge your customer's. I was told that a hold was placed on my account for the Uhaul. In which I got charged twice. That was a lie i found out that somebody charge my card then charge it again. When i called i was told i have to wait up to 5 days to get my money back. If it doesn't come off then I have to contact my bank. Being a person that was a manager of a bank I know that the charge haves nothing at all do to with the bank.
