When i arrived at pick up time one hour after they were supposed to open no one was there. I called customer service and they said they called the manager who was now there. I had to pay my movers and extra hour causing me a ton of extra expenses. I called customer service to get a resolution and they ended up hanging up on me with no call back. I will NEVER be using U-haul again and I will recommend to friends and family that they also never use it. Terrible customer service.

Jeff TMy enclosed trailer was covered in muddy slush and the inside had a bottom cover of snow. The clerk did sweep it out when we complained. The 6X12 trailer is extremely heavy to dead lift from the ground to the trailer ball height and should have a trailer jack at the front, and of course, there is no help from any staff. I wrenched my back lifting it. which made the rest of the moving I had to do that day very uncomfortable. So in the end I had a dirty, snowy trailer, with no trailer jack or staff assistance and a painful day moving.
JOHN AAt pick up, I was not informed that I was putting down a $125 deposit, which was fine in the end, but is definitely something the attendant ahould have mentioned. I also had to figure out on my own what type of gas is used in your trucks and wasn't told until I returned that they required a photo os the gas guage and speedometer. These are all minor things, but after a full day of moving, even a minor inconvenience can set a person off. I would suggest that all attendants give a person all the info they require at the beginning of the transaction. The evening attendant was great.
