When making my reservation I chose to have a face-to-face transaction vs an electronic transaction. When picking up the truck (due to illness at the location) this didn't happen and I was told by phone by U-Haul I "was good to good to go". Well not exactly so. I had no paperwork and no existing pick-up info in U-Hauls system. SO when I tried to return the truck, there was no one at the pick-up location and every time I called U-Haul (4X) everyone told me to go to the app, which pointed me to a NEW reservation. An example was John...after describing my problem to him he sent a link to the app and in his mind his job was complete, and he said just follow the app....which was NOT working!!!! So I went to another U-Haul location. They had their open sign on but no one there and all doors locked...this is around 11:30 AM. I went back to the original drop off location and left the keys off at the drop box and parked the truck in the lot and went home and contacted Kimberly at your customer care number who, in the matter of a few seconds, took care of the transaction. Kimberly was the only U-Haul employee to understand customer care and it took LESS than a minute of her time to correct the issue. Point is everyone else believed that sending a link to an app was all they needed to do to correct an issue which is not always true. Also, open locations locked with no attendants is interesting.

U-Haul did not call me to inform me that there was no dolly’s or blankets before I picked up the truck. The owner of the location went above and beyond to make it right. I was not happy with U-Haul as a company but I was very satisfied with Lake Lavon Storage for the customer service that was provided.
