TLDR: Van was dirty, parking around the location is unsafe and location didn't have the equipment I ordered. Parking was poor and in a bad neighborhood so I didn't feel comfortable leaving my car there for long while using the moving van. The van wasn't swept before I used it and overall was not clean. Location also didn't have the furniture dolly I ordered making my move harder than it needed to be. I tried to get straps to help instead, but the rep was unwilling to make any deals even though they failed to get my proper order with a furniture dolly.Nathan K.

The price is reasonable. The owner of the shop is so nice. He made us feel welcome all the time. The rental truck showed oil change should be done, and the alignment is off. It's new and easy to drive around.Chi L.
For one thing, the facility was actually closed when I picked it up, had to go in through the back and felt pretty sketchy. The gentleman who assisted me told me I could return the van that evening or the next day, but noted that they would also be closed in the evening so if I wanted to return it then, to "throw the key under the door as far as possible." Didn't have time to return the van the next day, so when we were done with the move this is what we did, contacting the owner and letting him know we had done this. Well a month later I get a call that apparently the van was stolen and I was responsible for the damages and theft (upwards of $1,500) and have been dealing with reluctant Uhaul about it since then. I would avoid this place. In a rough part of town like this that there is no legitimate after hours drop box to return the van when the location, but to "slip it under the door" is flat out danger to the customer and retrospectively as ridiculous as his defense that "this has never happened before." I also found it very unprofessional there was no communication about the theft by Uhaul to me until a few days before it was going to collections expecting me to fork over hundreds of dollars for a van I had for literally a few hours. I will never use Uhaul again after this experience and would warn people before dealing with this location.Victoria M.

When getting there we followed the directions of the U-Haul representative and checked out via the app. We went around to the store front and realized it was closed all day and it does not have a dropbox. The location was very unsafe and we witnessed a man trying to steal The other u haul keys from under the door. They must have been left there from another customer that had the same problem as we did. We had to take our U-Haul back to the house and wait until early in the morning to hopefully be able to drop it off at another location since that location does not open until well after we are at work. This location should not have been an option to us if it was closed all day and had no drop off box.Ronald R.

My cost was $404.79. I asked several times if there's any type of extra money or deposit needed when I was told no. So as of right now it's $808 taken out of my account put me in overdrawn. As of now I have no Penny to my name because of your guyses mistakes .Your company should have told me I need to double the amount of money to rent the utility van. I'll be sure to share this experience with everyone that I know so they don't have to go to the same thing.paul S.

Owner needs to carefully calculate mileage and not estimate it based on how long a person has the equipment .....It wasn't about the money, it was the principle ... Our drop off experience was absolutely terrible. We have rented from uhaul in the past and never have we had such a poor experience. We are needing a truck again within the next 1-2 months but will be highly considering using a different truck rental service. Issues: - there was nowhere to park/drop off the uhaul truck at the drop off location - the location was dirty and unkept. It looked like it could have been closed down/condemned. - the business for drop off was closed and had nowhere to drop the key - after almost 1 1/2 hours of trying to drop off the truck, uhaul customer service told us, â€œI don't know what to tell youâ€ when we called in to receive help on how to drop off - we then had to, on our own, find an open uhaul location and drive again to that business to drop off - we ended up missing an important appointment because instead of taking 15 minutes for drop off as it usually does, it took us 2 hours because of the poor customer service on uhaul's part. - we were told we were going to be charged for trying to drop off after hours. We are extremely upset and unsatisfied and hope uhaul improves their drop off procedures and their customer service.Nick M.
Make sure fuel is actually full, was marked as full and took 6.5 gallons of gas for 34 miles. Unless the truck gets 5mpg, the previous person didn't fill it up all the way.Paul M.

I had to park the truck in a rather sketchy neighborhood a block away from the store since there was not much street parking and there was not a private lot. It's not the hardware store's fault; the guy working there was very helpful.Gary H.
I had a guaranteed reservation for 9:30 am. When I got there, the shop was closed and locked with a metal security gate. The shop owner didn't even get there until 10:30! I had to pick up my belongings then get to work that day. I had taken Uber there and was sitting outside the shuttered shop in a sketchy area of Oakland until the owner arrived to open his shop - an hour and a half late! Then he said his computer system was slow, and by the time I got into the cargo van I'd reserved for 9:30, it was 11 am! I got to work 2 1/2 hours late (I commute into the Central Valley and was so late that I was in the evening commute traffic), and I'm currently trying to recover my lost pay from U-Haul. They say they only offer a $50 credit, but I have yet to see that!Sara D.
I was very unhappy with this experience. I booked in a DIFFERENT CITY and I was forced to pick up and drop off at this location (had to leave work early to get there). When I arrived I was given the wrong size truck. Completely changed plans of move since I could not fit my stuff in truck provided, I had to do a second run an hour away, cancelling my mothers day plans due to all of the rearranging that had to be done. Also, I just noticed that I was charged a "cleaning fee". The truck was returned lean and there is no justification for this charge. I am disputing the fee. Very unsatisfied customer.jennifer D.
