We called to receive our $100 deposit back, as we were told it would be back in our account after 24 hours. Later the next day we still did not see the deposit. We called postal annex and the girl was incredibly rude saying the deposit was up to her when we would get it back and she did not have time to getting around to it today, so we would probably see it tomorrow. I said thatâ€™s unacceptable, we were told otherwise, and that is my $100. She was short and rude and then said sorry thatâ€™s just how it works. Horrible customer service. Beyond rude.

It took nearly an hour to actually get the vehicle, why? I expected it to take a few minutes. So stupid. On top of which you pay for every mile. Cost me more than a dollar a mile. Next time I'll just use a truck and do a few trips. U-Haul is an absolute rip off and now I realise that we'll be removing our business account. Given my experience and the cost it's madness to be using U-Haul. Adios from a really unsatisfied customer. I won't ever use U-Haul again.
There were too many things happening in this postal Annex. The clerk was alone and helping people Mail packages and assorted other things. Told me to just leave the truck in back. Would inspect later. Signage was not well posted.
The representative at the front desk was condescending. I don't know his name, he was not wearing a name tag. Truck had what looked like dried blood in it and had a horrible smell inside. Really needs to be cleaned
the after hours link would not allow me to complete my after hours drop off on my cell phone and i was charged an additional fee even though i messaged the company with the info needed so i want my money back now , this is ridiculous
UHaul rep William (who was excellent BTW) was the only person on site, and while I was there, up to five customrs were waiting for service. Recommend considering additional person to elevate service quality.
Steering and alignment were not maintained; the steering was loose and the alignment was off (steering wheel to left and front tires straight)
Donâ€™t change a customers drop off location without atleast calling and having a conversation. Drop off location was changed on me, I was informed via text.... When I called it was explained to me that a future reservation needed to pick up the truck from this new location.... not sure why I as a customer have to got out of my way to accommodate another customer. This drop off location wasnâ€™t ideal because it was farther, we werenâ€™t familiar with the area, and the store opened later. This set our whole day back, and I had to reschedule personal appts.
the drop of location was changed the day prior to which made me drop off the truck maybe a gallon of gas under and get a $40 fine. The stores drop off location for the trucks was hard to locate.
No drop box out front, no information that it is located behind the building. Uhaul customer service was completely unhelpful. owner of postal annex did not answer the phone
I rent a van one day every week for a charity organization. I rent from this location only when no other facility in my area has what I need. I have never had a good experience at this location.
Not enough training for new employees
12/18/19 I rented a 15' truck from Stax, Holland Road, Menifee for a one-way rental to Oceanside. The staff at Menifee were extremely professional and helpful.Â I returned the truck around 4 - 4.30pm to the Oceanside location and was surprised to find a Retail Store. The shop was extremely busy, as they also accept mail/packages for UPS, FedEx and USPS. There was one, older lady behind the counter and no other signs of any other employees. I waitedÂ 30 minutes (she managed to serve 2 customers within this time) and the lady told me that "Jessica" wasn't available at the time but that I would received a confirmation email in the morning. I was not happy with leaving the vehicle without having a Uhaul representative check it in and receive verification that I had returned within the allotted time, the vehicle was full of gas, there was no damage and that it had been returned in a clean condition. By 1.30pm today, 12/19/19, I had not received the promised email. I called Uhaul Customer Service and was assisted by an extremely helpful woman, Hollis. She kept me on hold while she called the Postal Annex and spoke to Jessica. Hollis informed me that Jessica had told her that she'd been busy but would get an email to me within the hour, confirming your vehicle had been returned at 4:30pm 12/18/19, the gas tank was full and the vehicle was in good, clean condition.Â I received the email below at 2:01pm with the attachment, stating that the vehicle was returned at 8:00am 12/19/19, Fuel tank was full but a $15.00 Cleaning Fee has been charged to my credit card on file. Obviously, I extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from the Postal Annex, 4140 Oceanside Blvd. I would like to request a refund of the $15.00 and strongly suggest that Uhaul considers a different operative to conduct business in this area.Â

This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. How do let them keep the franchise? They opened 1/2 hour late, the lady was rude, and inattentive.
The only problem I have had, is that twice there has been a problem with the gas tank, one that had a hole and put gas to fill it and it was running out on to the ground and then second time, I went to fill it up and the gauge did not register to show the needle at full. My suggestion id to make sure the maintenance of the trucks are being checked and maintained for rental and the safety of the users? Thank You

When returning rental equipment either make sure have a competent employee that knows how to process and/or update your computer system. It took 45 min which was way too long!!!!! Was a bad experience.

Horrible service!! 4 staff members sitting inside and no one will help return truck. Make you use the slow website to check out. Took over 45 mins. Was charged for gas when truck came back with the same as it did when rented. Have images to prove. Total scam! Stay away!!!!
I was charged $35 for my initial purchase now 3 days later they charge me an additional $40 without notice or any reason why
WE FOUND A LARGE DEAD LIZARD IN THE BLANKETS POUCH THAT WAS FIXED TO THE INSIDE WALL OF THE VAN. IT SMELLED FOUL, AND, AS A RESULT, WE COULD NOT USE THE BLANKETS. WE EXPECT THE REFUND FOR THE BLANKETS..
