Ordered the truck and equipment weeks earlier from move. Had to pick up truck miles away from place asked to pickup from. No equipment was available. Order mixed up, had to pay almost twice more then already payed.. Person not very nice at pick up.

I was scheduled for a pick up at a time earlier than the location opened. The worker took a different customer and a phone call while he was helping me. I got the truck late and it severely delayed our plans for the day.

Upon checking in the lady assisting me was attempting to relate to me since I am from the Rochester area and she lived in East Rochester years ago. She made a comment that it was not a great area when she lived there, it was very "dark". It took me a minute to understand what she was saying but she was not referring to the sun. This person knows nothing about me and I feel it is crazy that she feels comfortable talking to customers in this way.

Again, this was another location where the staff was so helpful. They accommodated me when I was supposed to wait for another location to open on Monday. They were so kind as to tell me that "making my move easy was there job".. I would use them again just because of the friendly, welcome environment. The U-Haul affiliates have always been kind and helpful. My family will continue to use your services for our needs. Thank you.

The girl in Oneonta was the exact opposite of Bob. She stressed me out more insisting that she sent me an email oblivious to my life being in hundreds of boxes with no access to email. She needs retraining. I would not rent from her ever again. She called saying they were closing Sunday at 12:30 and did not tell me about a drop box until I asked. Bob in MA told me UHauls are open 24 hours a day. He is a model employee so I knew there was flexibility in when I returned the car carrier vs the truck etc.

The lady who called me twice was not very self aware that moves are stressful and I had a millions things to deal with. She called twice insisting that I confirm a drop off even before I left MA. when i was short with her, she did not change her tune or apologize. Moving is stressful enough, I did not need extra pressure. I asked maynard to put 2 extras days on my drop off to give me wriggle room. That got list in translation.
This location was great. However, I rented a 15 ft box truck from another location, drove 40 minutes to get there and they were out. So because of this I had to make 2 trips to Oneonta that day wasting most of my Saturday off. To say I was pissed off is an understatement. The pony farm location was great though.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! Truck not at guaranteed Uhaul Pick Up location. Desired/First pick up location did not help other than to say "Sorry, the person kept the truck another day" 45 mins on hold/transferring until I could find where I need to go. 45 mins out of my way to go to the location to pick up truck. Retailer very rude to me, "It needs to be back here by 4" I stated it would not as it is already noon and I live 45 mins away. Retailer "Than it needs to be back here by morning, since it is going out tomorrow" I had to specifically ask Uhaul representative on phone about compensating the "guaranteed $50 refund on deposit" Did receive this a week later. Retailer at second place lecturing about the gas where it needs to be-I made sure if was over where it needs to be when I dropped it off at 6pm in the evening. Get the final bill-get charged $50 for the a gas fee. On the illustration of the gas it was shown to be almost empty-the gas tank was never even at that place when I had it. Call the second Retailer-told her I have a picture I took of this-she did credit me back the gas- but was met with such attitude about it. Never again will I rent from UHaul. Poor Poor customer service. I spent driving around getting the UHaul than actually moving.

The UHaul should post a sign saying the reason the door was locked during business hours was because the service person had to keep himself busy and that meant he had lock the office and do other work. When I arrived there and saw a locked door, I looked around the vestibule and saw a sign on the wall saying to pick up a phone, dial 311 and let them know a customer had arrived. When I picked up the phone, I heard no sound. I dialed 311 and heard nothing. I waited and saw no one. Then someone from a business next door in the same building, The Village Printer, opened that business's door and asked if I needed some help. I really did not know what to say. A short time later someone from the UHaul office opened the locked door. When I made a comment, the man's response was that he was expected to keep busy and not to just sit at the counter. I felt I should not have been given the uncompensated task to frown upon such a way to do business by locking a business door which online says is open during certain hours.

This was absolutely horrible - we showed up to pick up the U-Haul when we were told 9 Am the shop was not opened - after waiting on the phone for 20 min with U-Haul tying to contact the owner of the store we finally were able to get in- when the man was doing our paper work for the U-Haul he charged my card twice and had to rebate the one payment - after leaving the man never showed me anything on the U-Haul just told me you’re all set have a good one. After loading the truck at my old home we realized the ramp to the U-Haul was broken and inside of the U-Haul truck itself and then I got stuck in my own driveway as the tires on the U-Haul were horrible - and when I drove the U-Haul back to my new home the U-Haul got stuck again in my driveway that I had to have it towed out of the drive way this time which cost me $350.00 and I was very very unhappy with the entire experience and I will never rent from U-Haul again especially after I called U-Haul and placed a complaint over the phone with them and i was told their was nothing they could do.

I could NOT believe how AMAZING this experience was. Top Notch the whole way, from pickup to drop off. Moving is so stressful (for most) and it was such a pleasant experience, friendly staff, great equipment and reasonable rates. The drop off location we specified online was not the same as in the uhaul system, uhaul needed to change it for us. Received two email receipts and both had $0 totals rather than actual charges
