I'm pretty sure I had to submit my license online when I set up my account. Then I had to do it again on site. The whole process got hung up and it took me about 40 minutes to get into the truck. For a weekend pickup with no one around, all that should be taken care of ahead of time. If a glitch happens like I had I'm just standing around waiting. There are no instructions sent to me either as to starting the process of getting in the truck. Very Frustrating experience over all.

Much like renting a car (National for instance, where I get in a car and drive away), long-term, known customers should not have to wait the exorbitantly long time to get a simple trailer. It literally took twice as long to pick up the trailer as using it to move a car a few miles. Just a thought...

Need a sign at entrance. The only u haul sign we saw said uhaul with a arrow that sends you to the rear parking area, and you have to back track to the check in area

They reprimanded me for not turning my U-Haul truck into the same location that I had picked it up at when I clearly stated on the front end that I needed to drop it off at a Uhaul location close to my house. Poor service!

Logged 6 miles on the van. Somehow it took 7 gallons of gas when I filled it up. There is no way it was full when I rented it. Attendant who checked in the van thought that was interesting but had no explanation for the poor gas mileage.

Online reservation system is incomplete. I had ordered one of the insurance policies, but when I picked up the equipment, the agent could not tell that I had already done so. I had told the system how many miles I expected to put on the equipment, but the system did not pre-calculate the charges, and I had to go through it again with the agent. In addition to taxes, which did not show up on the reservation-estimated costs, there is also an environmental fee of questionable basis, of which the customer remains uninformed until there to pick up the equipment, on a schedule, with people waiting, and ready to otherwise charge on with what is usually a hard day's work or more. Hidden fees deny the customer opportunity to accurately compare costs with similar services until it is too late.

The system just to rent a tow dolly was atrocious !!! The poor employee was "arguing" with the system to "accept" the vehicles that would be used. FIRST, supposedly the vehicle that was going to be doing the towing didnt exist !!! Even though it is a 2016 truck! Then the poor lady FINALLY won the battle after 15 min! And on top of that the system kept INSISTING that the small car that was ACTUALLY going to be towed was, ACCORDING TO THE SYSTEM, was going to be towing the large truck. YES !!! WHAT A JOKE!!! FIX the system. I have been using , i dont why , UHAUL since 1975. WHY did Nationwide, and Jartran go away ??? When there is NO competition, this is what you get. The manual paper method of renting a trailer, truck OR tow dolly was the best . LESS than 5 min time spent on the paperwork and MORE time on the hookup of the trailer OR tow dolly !!!! NOW, UNFORTUNATELY , it IS the OTHER WAY AROUND!!!! IS THAT WHAT WE CALL PROGRESS ??? NOTE! I am NOT an old 70 or 80 year old person (no offense to our wiser people). I am in my early 50's and QUITE familiar with Macs and PC's THANK YOU !!! What a crock of a computer system just to rent something at a neighborhood location !!!

The rental location itself was great. Friendly people, clean and well lit. However the online check in process was horrific and did not work. Entering information was not intuitive and I had to restart the process more than once and re enter information. At one point the process would not let me take the picture requested and crashed my phone. After that, I could not even get back to my reservation. I then called your 1-800 number and they insisted I could do it online but could not guide me back to my reservation. Finally after being transferred, someone said it was because I rented a dolly and they finished the reservation via phone and gave me the lock box combination. This process cost a precious hour in moving time. You really need to work through your online process to account for what people might use and test that process. My issue is with your customer service, NOT the the location or people working there, they were great.

The individual who helped me was very professional and pleasant to deal with. Other than the U-Haul being a little worn and dirty it was a great experience.
