I had reserved the truck by the phone and was told that they would call me to confirm the pick up location be fore the pick up date I wanted to pick the truck up in Cobourg. when Debbie called me she very pleasant and helpful she informed me that there was no truck available in Cobourg but I could pick up the truck in Whitby. I went to Munchies Gift & Variety and the lady phoned her husband and I had to deal with him on the phone he was saying it was a different price than I was quoted so he informed me to call U-Haul back and gave me the number. the girl I was talking to on the phone was very helpful told them to give me the keys and handled everything over the phone.

The interaction between the staff member and renter was discusting. Their customer service and communication was atrocious, short and rude. I will not be renting from this location again just based on how I was spoken to and treated by their staff. Basic manners and communication should be expected if you are in any position representing a company such as u-haul.

A reminder email or phone call close to the reservation date confirming the reservation, would put my mind at ease that I didn't get lost in the system. Otherwise it was a top shelf experience!

The only problem was a bit of a language barrier with the lady.....other than that these people responsible for the renting of the equipment are excellent, and the gentleman explained everything perfectly, and was kind enough to make sure the trailer was attached to our vehicle properly. .

We had booked a 9 foot Van and were told in a phone call from U-Haul, the day before the reservation, that a van was not available, but that we would be provided a 10 foot truck for the price of the van. When we picked up the truck the agent was not aware of that arrangement and charged us for the truck at the truck's regular rate.

Store owner was very pleasant but did not go out with me to attach the trailer. Not sure how someone who never rented one before would have connected it correctly or thought to check the lights. Additional staff is needed to run the uhaul component to ensure rental units are checked with the renter and all safety aspects are reviewed. It was lucky I had rented a number of trailers before. As for the trailer, Inside protective rubber strips were falling away from the wall of the trailer. Appeared to be a spot on the ball receptor that was worn thru. This unit needs maintenance.

We rented a cube van.. it was clean but when I say not “maintained” I mean the gas measurement was off.. had to pay an extra $8 in gas on top off the $4 I put in.. total km used was only 19 km so we are talking millimeters here when verifying the gas reading. Either come up with a tool to be exact or don’t sweat the small stuff.. he literally used the magnifier on the iPhone charged us the minimum extra cost., it’s not the money but the process.. so maybe this feedback can help change it.. I’ll be using social media to make sure everyone gets out their magnifier to validate your business measurements.. not happy at all...

There customer service is not good at all and the rudeness is outrages and to be accused of being a theif im not ok with either i deseve a refund or partial discount i was always letting them know what's going on and friendly its not my fault they dont know how to use machine and furthermore when im asking on my options on how to pay as they couldn't figure out how to charge on card which had enough money is not my fault but hanging up on me 4 times and yelling is wrong if something isnr done u i will never use uhaul nor recommend you there are plenty of other places if you wanna make it right i would use uhaul again but never this location

We were changed to much for the rental they changed us $1.11 a mile when we should have been changed 69 cents a kilometre my husband works nights so we have not been able to dispute the amount

Put some god damn winter tires on your trucks. I four stuck in in the ice rain storm on April 14, 2018. I took me an hour and a 1/4 tank of gas to free myself out of the ice.
