Took an hour to pick up rental vehicle. Insurance coverage was waived but I was still charged.
Savanna AThe outlet (if you can call it that) was a small secondhand storefront/junk store. The phone number provided by U-Haul wasn't in service. The posted business hours on the day I returned the truck showed it was supposed to be open at 11:00, and personnel didn't show up until 11:15. Person who checked the truck in was almost clueless and had to consult with someone over the phone to even start the check in process. The location had no clue that the truck was coming to them. (U-Haul website where the reservation was made had discounted the rental for return to this location rather than one closer to home.) They basically wanted me to hand them the keys with no inspection of the truck, fuel level, mileage etc. in my presence! I convinced them to do the check in while I was present, and afterward they were unable to provide me with a printed receipt before leaving. Entire location resembled a junkyard with limited signage and parking. I'm shocked that this location is allowed to represent the U-Haul brand! I would hate to see what the nearly-new truck I brought them looks like after a couple weeks at this location. If this location is representative of the brand, when I need a rental truck in the future, I will explore other options first!
Stuart SIt was not the location, but because the storefront wasn’t open in the morning I had to check in online and the app doesn’t work great and could finish checking out.
Scott SI returned it one day after receiving it. It was a 3 day rental and I have been charged an extra day as they were slow to process it. It was returned on the the very next day and was not checked in causing me to be charged $87 for literally no reason. It was returned at the specified gas level and in clean condition. I would like to be reimbursed for the extra day, as I have not had possession of the vehicle since Sunday. My rental pick up was Saturday.
