I rented a trailer. When the person in the yard installed he dropped the hitch onto the ball on my vehicle with some force. I understand that it has to couple and that it is a trailer, but more respect for my vehicle would have been appreciated.

It would be nice if the computer system could clone a similar order from the past, for repeat customers. It would have helped in my case, where a taillight glitch on my side meant I needed to make two orders in one day (it takes a little while because the agent has a lot of screens to click on in that process...).

There was a U Haul location two minutes from me and they made me drive an hour and a half into Ottawa at rush hour...tried to get the location changed and got a run around with different phone numbers.When I did get through I always got a french recording that took me nowhere...very frustrating...the trailer itself was very good lights all worked no worries there...it's the people end of your business...you don't pay them enough to get them to go the extra mile...they don't want to do anything to help you...

The employee messed up the payment process a few times, couldn't tell us anything about the insurance and how it worked because he was too tired to think (his words) and it took about 30 min to process a simple payment for which a reservation had already been made. He changed the uhaul 3 times (the vehicle selected) and couldn't tell us where to find the free parking lot. The uhaul was in good shape but the latch was closed and needed a hammer to open (which wasn't provided) and the lock didn't work so we had to go buy one so we could lock the uhaul. I've used this service before at this location and it was OK but this was below average....really awful customer service that day. It may just be the employee but it reflects poorly on this establishment. It didn't help that the person next to me also had trouble...his employee screwed up the payment process so many times that the customer's credit card was frozen and he had to call the bank to get it to go through (the employee had clicked submit too many times and tried to rectify a mistake too often). That is just shitty service. And when they unfroze his credit card, the employee screwed up again. This was the team on shift on January 13 in the morning around 8 AM. I'm sure the rest of your team is great but that was just awful to watch and live through. I might still recommend your place to others since the last time I moved it was OK and the service was good but if I based it only on this experience, I would never recommend your location again.

Need on-site day parking. The process of parking across the street at can tire and getting a parking permit is cumbersome and adds to what is usually already too short a day. Otherwise the service was great and staff friendly.

Your trucks can’t get through 1-2 inches of snow. You need to have trucks that can handle snow and icy conditions if you’re going to operate in Canada. The truck got stuck in the snow and could not get up a mild incline which caused me to return the truck at 7:01pm (1 minute after closing). The windshield was frozen over and not scraped properly. The mirrors were not adjustable, as someone who is 5’3” I couldn’t see anything. The staff were extremely slow, taking more time than necessary to answer questions and answering questions that I did not ask. Overall, I would give my experience a generous 2 out of 5.

Check in check out took longer than the rental!!! There has to be a better or quicker way to process the rentals. My next rental will be from the local guy as I can be on the road in less then 5 minutes with them although they are more expensive!!!

This location made the necessary accommodations so I could pick up the truck after hours - this was greatly appreciated! Unfortunately, the gas tank was not at full which it was supposed to be according to my contract, but the location reimbursed me for a portion of the gas that I re-filled. Closer attention to detail was needed when recording the gas level before loaning the vehicle. Other than that, it was great!

Online booking didn't go as planned but rep at Queensview location was very knowledgable and helpful in finding us a vehicle and pick up location that worked for us. Pick up was easy enough and the girl was very pleasant. Drop however was very unorganized and staff were rude and unhelpful. Price was reasonable, so all in all I would rent thru u- haul again however drop off needs more organization and helpful staff.

Our service picking up our Uhaul was quick and courteous The tires on our truck were not good winter tires. We got stuck in our driveway twice and almost got stuck many other times. Driving in winter weather was stressful and felt very unsafe. All season tires do not suffice for an Ottawa winter. Please make your trucks more safe for winter driving. This caused our move to be much more stressful than it should have been.

Super friendly staff, quick and efficient. The drawback was that the dolly's cupped type design, designed to accommodate a vehicle's tires were pretty much filled with snow and slush, which I cleaned, before driving a vehicle onto the ramps. The bigger problem was that one of the webbed straps which looped over the (left) front wheel, would not stay affixed/tight. The other strap was completely pulled out of the metal lightener and it took me close to 20 minutes in the freezing cold and snow, to get it through the slotted center shaft, in order to tightly secure the vehicle onto the dolly.. Possible that the dolly had just returned from being rented and staff did not have time to check it out?

I was told on the phone ( call center) that I could park at the location for the 1 hr I needed the cargo van. When I got to the location I was told that there was no parking ever and I could not leave my car. I had to rearrange my day to get someone to drive my car home and pick me up ! The van had a very annoying whistling noise when on the road.

Change brakes on the truck, fill windshield washer fluid and do a pre inspection. give a sheet about truck so the customer knows the truck is safe to take.
