We picked up the van, it was very dirty, the person who took our information said she would be over to inspect the van and never came over, I did not realize that we would be accused of damaging the van or I would have done the inspection, but we had never had a problem with this franchise before so took the van as there was a time constraint with getting other things done before we left for vacation. Apparently the franchise has changed hands and the prior owner was very nice. We had a problem with one of the doors from the time we picked up the van and for the whole week we had the van, but managed to open the door with some maneuvering. When we returned the van, which was after hours, we got a phone call the following business day to ask what had happened to the door in question. We were accused of damaging the door and charged another $145.15 on top of the weekly rental fee and I feel that we should not have been charged any extra as we did not do the damage to the door. We were able to open the door the night that we dropped the van off because we were inspecting it to make sure nothing was left inside the van. I will never go to this UHaul location again, there is another one on the other end of town, 420 Wilbraham Street, Palmer, MA 01069 and I will, if I ever need to rent a UHaul, go to that location versus this one on 1422 Park Street, Palmer, MA 01069
