When the unit was dropped off, the receiver was informed of the issue with the running lights but didn’t address the issue or refer us to his manager. The problem wasn’t documented, addressed or resolved. I spoke with a customer service rep who basically told me that someone from U-Haul would contact me within 72 hours but likely would not do anything to help because the incident wasn’t documented. I found that odd because as a customer, the only thing I can do is report it. If nobody documents it, how would that be my fault? If I rent equipment, my expectation is that it works. If it doesn’t, then I believe it’s reasonable that a discount or credit should apply. I’m disappointed that I rented equipment that was not fully operational and that it’s not being properly addressed, which just compounds my frustration.
