There needs to be more access and details when being billed for Tolls. I am new to the area and the fees are outrages! Then its 13 days till I get the bill but have 15 days to pay it before they go up! Of course have to email to dispute and clarify so in the end I am forced to pay and never got Clarification, Fraud!

I will be telling anyone and everyone to avoid using this U-Haul location. I returned my truck 10 minutes before close on the day before it was due and I understand that’s later than ideal for them, but they didn’t even scan it in or anything for my peace of mind. They had no record that they even had the truck in their system so I had to drive all the way back an hour and a half after they opened the next morning to make sure they processed my return in time for my return window. I tried to call the location to avoid driving over there but their calls were all forwarded to a call center who had no idea about anything either. I won’t ever be using a U-Haul again unless I have no other choice. Their customer service is nonexistent and this specific location has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. There’s many others in Plano, avoid this one.

One girl at this location very helpful seams to know much more than the guys at the inside desk. The 1 guy needs MORE TRAINING he backs up the line ask us for our address and phone number 4 times before he got it in the computer.

I drop the unit back in 4 hrs after rental, they undid the unit themselves and yet 2 days later called me and asked if I still had it and after telling them I didn't etc they finally sent me a receipt 2 days late.

Check in the equipment on the spot -- I was contacted 2 days later w/ a claim that I had not returned my trailer. Later that day, I received an email indicating that the trailer was found on the lot and then logged in as returned.

I called to confirm that they acknowledged the trailer I’d dropped off after hours and did not receive a call back. My call was sent to another location and the person just said “It is not showing up as being checked in.” I called four hours later and was told the same thing. Maybe the local store should hire enough staff to answer their phones since the routed calls are sent to people who cannot answer questions. Poor customer service. The lady even told me that if the trailer was taken, I was liable. Of course she could not confirm that it was missing, since she was ar a Different Location. No help at all!!!!

My complaint is not with a location specifically but with U-Haul as a whole. Your reservation system needs to be looked at. I reserved a 26’ truck 3 weeks in advance. Had location set for a couple miles from my house. The day of pick up U-Haul changes location to other area about 10 miles away. We get there at 3:30 and we are rudely informed they don’t have a truck for us to pick up. He looks it up and says we are scheduled for pick up in Plano. Thats 28 miles from our home and now we are in the beginnings of 635 and toll way traffic and need to be there by 4. We were not told of any change by email, phone call, nothing! I sat on hold for customer service for 30 mins before someone got on the line. You bet I had addition miles added to the contract because that 28 miles you had me drive took up 90% of what we were allowed before being charged! And requested reservation guarantee! We get to Plano to pick up the truck and they are nice as can be. No complaints with staff. But the truck! We were informed that it had less than an 1/8th of a tank of gas in it! Now upon return we only had to get it to 1/4 and was credited $19 but you know well that that $19 doesn’t cover the gas it took to even get where we could drive it back home! When on the rode I’m driving behind and realize NO BREAK LIGHTS!!!! A move is stressful enough so for these things that are DOT regulated to be happening is the cherry on top. My suggestion would be... look into a better reservation system... and do manditory checks of your trucks. Not just push them out as is because you want that dollar! And if you have policy to do routine checks then you have a staffing and training issue.
