Absolutely saddened by this experience. I am a loyal customer. I picked up the Uhaul May 30,2026 around 8:45 AM with my son in law ( a pastor) brought it back around noon the same day. The key went into the correct box. It was a Saturday and no staff was around. The truck was then stolen by someone who took it for a good while and the truck was found abandoned on a ferry. The ferry has cameras and could easily find the culprit. Instead, the company has billed ME $3600. I have witnesses that I have been home this whole time as well as my son in law, home and at the church where he works. The Uhaul person in Victoria agrees that it sounds like I am innocent but he has to bill me anyways. I have to fight to have it removed. I am absolutely horrified. Any help would be appreciated.
