Nick, the owner of this new location contacted me to ask if I'd be interested in a slightly bigger truck, one even closer to where I lived. He's so seamlessly took care of that change and didn't charge me extra! He also made sure that I had the same insurance in place. But here's where things got even more impressive, there was not an attendant at the location at the time that I arrived which is not a guarantee... now that people do things over their phone so much but I just wasn't the headspace for that. So when I called him, he answered immediately and took me through the entire rental process step by step while he started on the phone. And when I voiced any other concerns I had with the truck itself, he made himself immediately available. I thought it was running a little rough but as it turned out, I had it in a hauling mode for a trailer. And he has this way of speaking that reminded me of the kind of friends I'm incredibly lucky to have. Intelligent, calm and just plain cool. There was a discrepancy with my bill, a very small issue, and considering how insanely economical the entire experience turned out to be, it was kind of a jackass thing for me to bring up. Still...I wanted him to be aware of it since he has a new business to look after. And sure enough, you refunded me $12 right away. A total class act. So yeah! There is a new U-Haul location right at the juncture of Little Italy and the Old Market just across the 10th Street bridge and about a half a block south of Via Farina. I hope I never have to move again, but if I do I will definitely be visiting this location. My hope is that Nick is a great success. You know, good things happening to good people.
