It took almost 45 minutes and two phone calls to U-Haul Customer Service before I was actually able to take possession of the truck. There were issues with uploading the required photos, and I was eventually told that I could upload them later when I returned the truck. Unfortunately, the time spent trying to resolve this issue cut into my original reservation time. To be safe, I called U-Haul and requested an additional two hours. I ultimately returned the truck only 50 minutes past my original reservation time, meaning I did not use the full two-hour extension. When I asked whether I could receive a credit for the additional time that I didn’t use, I was told that no credit would be provided. This was particularly frustrating because the additional time was requested only because of the technical issues with U-Haul’s photo-upload system, which caused a significant delay at the beginning of my rental. I understand that reservations have specific terms and policies, but I don’t feel it is fair to charge me for additional time that was necessitated by a known technical issue on U-Haul’s end and ultimately was not fully used. I would appreciate it if U-Haul would review the situation and consider providing an appropriate credit or adjustment
