The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Having to call someone immediately to verify is not a good option for the choices given. People are not able to answer immediately. When a wrong number is entered, you cannot use the persons name any longer. Not everyone has a passport; not everyone renting is actually moving to new place so the lease option should not be an option for verification. They do not go through all this to even rent a car at the airport or anywhere. There was no indication that there would be a service fee of $21.00 for after hours. Had that been the case, I would have waiting until 9:00 a.m. when opened. You advertised the mobile contactless option so that is why I went with that. But would not have for $21.00. And by the time all the ridiculous hassle of the verification, it was already almost 9:00 a.m. An hour wasted for the phone calls. If the rental RATE was $19.99 why is there also an additional rental CHARGE $19.99. This does not make sense whatsoever and you are ripping people off with these undisclosed charges.
There equipment has always been clean and aell maintained. I have rented from this location many times and I really appreciate the person who works with me. She is very professional, efficient & understanding and always very cordial and I have had lots of fun conversations with her (Debbie). A headlight was out this time yet this is really the first time every thing was not in good order. I am very happy with this facility and Debbie has been very helpful with accommodating my truck rental and storage needs.
I originally reserved a truck at an alternate location. When I went to pick it up, they did not have the truck due to the previous customer not returning it. When I tried to find another truck, I contacted another location and she gave did not have a truck available but did inform me that since the reservation was guaranteed, Uhaul had to find me something. I contacted Uhaul and spoke to Tiffany and she was amazing. Not only did she find me a truck, she found me a bigger one and gave it to me for the price of the smaller one for the inconvenience. Kudos to Tiffany at the Uhaul location in Milwaukee.
Dont double book the trucks. Have your employees be more customer friendly. Example being answering personal text messages while I stood there and waited to check out.
Nothing, Debbie is wonderful and does so much for her customers. She is a 1st class representative.
Do not put the dolly on the usual side fod boarding when parked on the right side of the street. It is definitely in the way there. Your threatening tone in when the vehicle is due back by text message is the most unpleasant part of the rental experience. It has been a false due back time at least two times now. Your â€œconvenience feeâ€ is offensive when the truck rent is $30 and your fre is $20. If I did not appreciate your agent name Debbie so much I would stop working with you are altogether after those text messages.
I wish the bag & dolly were not in my way of getting in the back of the truck from the side free of traffic. I had an arrangement in place to bring the truck back on Monday. I did not rent the 15 foot truck to bring it back in three hours as your text message demanded. It took about 16 hours of work on my part and two men helped me one for 40 min and the other for an hour. It took me 3 hours to unload by myself and shift furniture to another unit in the same building just 40 feet away. A friend decided to help me with storing his daughter's things by buying a 10 x 10! Debbie has been a tremendous help and I am very happy to work with her. She knows all the aspects of using storage and keeps the place very clean. She is gracious and upbeat in spite of the challenging times.
The extra equipment fastened to the truck was often in my way. I would prefer not having it the truck but that is a corporate choice I believe. It is an aggressive stance choice in my perspective rather than a convience.
Your app is a horrible experience. Info is not saved as you go along and it frequently freezes causing you to repeat all information previously entered. When I could not complete the return using the app I was charged an additional 25 to have someone at the location finish it. I will not be using uhaul again
They tried to bill for 77 miles when it was 30 by theodometer, only using the online quote from the previous renter of the vehicle. I reserved an appliance dolly online (and spoke to a woman by phone before noon on Friday 10/11/19 to confirm) since I was moving heavy filing cabinets and an old upright freezer) yet they did not have one by 10:00 Monday 10/14/19 when we picked up the truck. We were charged for, but never given the option for Saemove insurance. The total ~ 3.5 hour use cost nearly $20.00 more than it should have. Customer service (interpersonal interaction/ communication & items noted above) was terrible. We will NOT use that agency again!!!
Check in by app was very tedious. Took 20 mins at location to go through and get app approved.
We shouldn't have to give you 5 contact numbers. That makes no sense. Also, we had completed the early sign up and they still did not have any of our information on file.

after i was done moving, i went to the gas station to put back the gas i used, the tank said that there was 1/2 full, i used the chart that came with the paper work and it said that i needed to put 4 gallons in, i put 4.1 gallons in (costed $ 8.68)and took the truck back and park it. when i got the updated bill it said that the truck gas tank was on 1/2 and they charged me $16.00 for 4 more gallons of gas, i called and ask how that could be and they would not help me at all and insisted that it says that it was on 1/2 and had a o-well attitude, the truck was old and i was wondering if the gas gauge was faulty or someone was siphoning the gas out(the gas cap does not lock). the woman told me that she will re-check the gas gauge and call me back, she never did. never take the truck back when the place is closed or take pictures with dates and time. somethings not right. so moving 31 miles costed me 24.68 in gas.(they charge $4.00 a gal vs $2.17 a gal, why would i pay $4.00 a gal, when i got it at $2.17??????? please check your truck gas gauge, i think it's broken and does not give the right gas usage and or how much is really left in the tank. the truck is old and worn out.
So He told us she was the one owener keep it over night , they'd be closed. Woke up with police threats. Very unprofessional. Very conniving how they did it with the setup in my bill over $300 get out of here rip off
I had originally selected a different location for pickup at 10:30am on Lathrop in Racine. When I went to the location they told me the reservation was changed to a new location.. which was in Milwaukee next to the place where I was moving to. They lady at the original location told me at 10:28am on the day of my pickup they tried to reach out to reschedule.. 2 minutes before pickup. They had transferred the reservation 20+ miles way and an hour later. I had to call uhaul customer service and they found this Chicory location had the truck we needed.
The employees were imformative and friendly. They even called to remind me of pick up ! Which was great. You know how you lose track of time when moving.
I had a reservation for 8am. I was using the mobile app to pick up my truck. Everything went smoothly up until I had to get my key. The instructions told me to enter a code at the lock box on the building. I entered the code and the box opened but there was no key. The shop didn't open for an hour, so I didn't have anyone to help me out. So I had to waste an hour of my reserved time for someone to show up. The person that works there explained that she didn't want to leave the key in the lock box because she was worried that someone would rent the truck late at night and I wouldn't have a truck for my reservation. It's my understanding that the app won't let you rent the truck after it's reserved, so this should have been a non-issue, but she clearly didn't understand that, nor did she understand that she inconvenienced me an hour for her unnecessary concern. But on top of that, instead of giving me the key to the truck right away, she felt she needed to look up my reservation and make me sign paperwork, which ate up an additional 20 minutes. I was doing everything with the app, and did not require any interaction with any employees, I did not need to sign any extra paperwork. While waiting this unnecessary extra time, I noticed a U-HAUL guarantee sign that said "Right equipment, right location, right on time or you get $50." Well, I only got 2 of those 3 promises and do expect you to make good on the $50.
They over charged me when i went to pick up truck the truck died twice the evening i picked it up had to have it jumped then charged me gas fee when i put 10 in gas right before dropping off the truck

Okay truck was 19.99 insurance was 14.99 i put $100 cash deposit. For 1 day got $22 dollars back put more gas than wad in there when i got it ???? They said i used 38 mile so what a $1.00 a mile huh.
