The truck was provided with the fuel level just below half a tank, which made it difficult to replace the exact amount of fuel I used. Providing a full tank and requiring it to be returned full would be much simpler and fairer. Customers aren’t reimbursed if they add extra fuel, yet they’re charged if they return it with too little. This policy leaves a poor impression. The truck also had a low tire pressure warning light on when I picked it up. I expect U-Haul to check tire pressure and address any warning lights before handing a vehicle over to a customer. Customers should feel confident that their rental has been properly inspected and is ready to drive.
