Windshield was so dirty with bird droppings and rain-splotched dust (typical southern California issue) that it was difficult to see through when driving into morning sun. Doesn't a subsidiary local site have some responsibility to ensure windshields are kept free of weather/bird related debris? I 've rented from U-haul for 35 years and this is the first time I encountered suchva dirty windshield. Also, about 5 miles after truck was fully loaded, its transmission malfunctioned causing engine rpm's to race out of control at stoplight. Had to shift through all gears to get it to drop into Drive. After that it worked okay until it sat for a few hours as truck was unloaded. When restarted, transmission hesitated a significant amount of time before klunking into Drive. Dropped off truck after hours and reported it by phone to main U-Haul number and the storage company site. Hopefully it wasvremoved from service and local site cleans windshields of all other trucks they offer.

ALEX HThe way the receiptionist or worker who helped me needs to practice communication etticacy. When someone is experiencing their concerns and confusion because what they reserved online wasn't at the location, he and any worker shouldn't take it personal and have some type of perfessionalism. What would help him besides maybe some customer service classes, is to have what is in stock online in the actual rental locations. Simply by finding a way to keep up with inventory and updating what is actually on hand in the store locations.
