Unit had obviously been smoked in by previous renter and stunk badly. We had to keep Windows rolled down. Wasn’t 100% tidy but we left it in better condition then how we found it and with more fuel.
JEFFREY SJust tell them to go to the Cannibus store for keys. The guy was very nice. It was simple and quick. Truck ran excellent. On my travels through the mountains though, I called uhaul after coming dow a massive mountain and eventhough, I geared down, I still had to brake alot to keep us at an even speed. So, at the bottom, the truck's brakes were smoking. Pulled over 45min to let them cool. Drove to nearest gas station, it was fine, and called uhaul. They had us sitting there for 6 hours while they tried to figure out what to do, from Pheonix. They had NO IDEA about BC mountains. Talked to a professional mover who said that it was normal. If, the brakes worked after cooling for 45 min, then they were fine. Uhaul was going to strand my child, my cat, and my disabled self in a tiny town, and were going to give us a different vehicle, but not guarantee any unloading and loading, or the expense of our trip or stay there!!! They DID NOT send a repair person, as advertised, they sent a tow truck that I denied, and continued on our way. We made it fine, brakes were completely fine!! All that was needed was a auto repair person to test the brakes and send us on our way!!! Unbelievable!!!! Road assistance in BC, Canada from Pheonix Arizona, is a Joke!!! Pathetic, and I will suggest no one call them unless absolutely necessary, they don't have a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHERYL SScrape the snow off the uhaul. It was frozen stiff on top of the hood and windows. My hands froze doing that before I could safely drive it.
