I chose the 24/7 no contact pickup and still had to go into the building to talk to someone rather than using the drop boxes you have at that location to receive my key. Wasted a lot of my time. Will avoid using Uhaul if possible and will never recommend to friends and family. I will go out of my way to explain what a royal pain in the ass it was renting from Uhaul.

The service was excellent the gentleman was very kind and very pleasant. The location I did not like because it was very small and the parking lot was small as well for a 15ft truck. Otherwise the gentleman was very nice.

The pick-up location was good and the person overseeing the operation took time to visit with me while I picked up the truck. As for the online check-in process, it took way too long to get approved, so I don't recommend that process if you can avoid it.
Customer service was exceptional. I was under stress due to last minute changes with size of truck and pick-up location. The associates working at this location were aware and treated me kindly and compassionately. Thank you both??
Show up on time... I wanted for an hour and a half for my u haul truck. The manager was very unprofessional. I reserve my u haul for 10:00 and didn't receive it til 11:30. Never will I ever go to 747 west main street again 0 stars

Perhaps inform customer that they must bring their own lock. For someone who has never used U-Haul before, this information would be useful.
Getting this large of a truck out of this location was tricky to say the least. The truck was muddy inside and I had to clean it prior to use. I actually got charged again at drop off to clean it because I couldn't get the truck clean enough.

The location was not great (combined with a seemingly-questionable insurance sales business), but that wasn't the issue with my experience in Rochester. I reserved a truck to help move my fiance from Ionia, NY, to live with me in NH. She was defending her PhD this day, and we were going to begin loading the uHaul so we could move her to NH ASAP where she started a new job on the following Monday. During my travel west on Tuesday, August 14th, I was unable to answer my phone for the confirmation call with uHaul. I received the text message, and called back the number listed. No mention was made of the inability for me to ensure a pick up at my preferred location (near the East View Mall), and not being from the area, the text message didn't make it clear that I would need to amend my plans. I arrived at the East View Mall location the next day, and there was no truck available. This is when I learned for the first time that my pick up was going to be 40 minutes away during a day that I had hoped would be focused on supporting my fiance during her thesis defense, and starting to pack up so she can be ready to start her new job in less than a week. Long-story short, we ended up missing part of her defense and lost a day of packing due to a lack of clear communication on behalf of uHaul. I have used uHaul in the past (including moving my own apartment the week prior), but this experience has left me disappointed. I would like to ask for some renumeration of our fees for this trip, as the overall experience was far from meeting our expectations. The gentleman who runs this location was very nice and very helpful. All of the equipment at his location looked like new. We pre-registered on line and had the keys and on our way in 10 minutes. Thank you.
I requested a pick up location outside the city near my location. The truck was reserved in the middle of the city, much less convenient and less safe neighborhood. This resulted in my mileage exceeding the allowed amount = additional fees.
The location should be opened with personnel working on the day the UHaul is scheduled to be dropped off. This location did not have any personnel on duty on the day I dropped off the UHaul. This lead to unnecessary confusion.
The individual made errors which still remain on my statement. It shows I have rented Furniture dolly ($120), Appliance dolly ($12) and a Utility dolly ($10). So I was overcharged by $142. I suspect it was a glitch in the system which the Victor, NY locations experienced. They system just crashed after they tried to remove the items from the original request which they moved to Rochester because they didn't have the one way van available. Needless to say, I am still trying to resolve this!!
The gentleman that assisted me was very kind, but extremely slow. They could work on their speediness being that I was their only client, had all of my information ready and it took almost 30 minutes to get the truck and then it didn't have the extras I had requested and paid for, which took another almost 10 minutes to get.
Very hard to tell this was the correct place to return the truck. One very small UHaul sign. No orange drop box for keys. No phone number visible. No instructions to use the online drop off. I admit we did not read the paperwork for instructions. My husband even refused to leave the truck here. We went to another UHaul dealer , the gentleman there said we had to go back and use the online check in. So we did and it was fine. Just not the standard uhaul dealership we are used to. But now that we know, we would use it again.
They took my husbands credit card and was going to charge it 337 dollars and the price on line was 252. I was supposed to get a hand truck and moving pads I got nothing but a truck with only an eighth of a tank of gas. When I called to complain later in the day. They said my reservation was canceled and they had no idea I had the truck. I could of kept their truck and no one would of known. Very unprofessional!
The location I had to pick up the truck from was not the location I had chosen, and was out of my way. There were no â€œU-Haulâ€ signs anywhere, so even finding the place was a nightmare. The person there took forever and did not know what he was doing, and I felt like my time was wasted.
The staff was ok. I have gotten a Uhaul before somewhere else, and they came out and went over aspects of the truck. Here they just walked out, watched me take out the sun visor, and thats it.
Was told by the gentleman that the location I was to drop off was different than the location I intended to use. He told me " It doesn't matter", and would not correct the contract. After I dropped off (at my preferred location) I was contacted and told I would incur over $75.00 in additional charges!!!
