Due to UHAUL's computer system not functioning correctly again and would not let me upload my drivers license and I was there for over a 45 mins. trying to check out and had to help the lady dispatch me out since I was a former UHAUL dealer myself. I would recommend more training for this dealer from there AFM when they have problems like this happening .
We have rented from our local U-Haul multiple times with no problems. We love our local company. This was our first time having to return one after hours. In this particular instance, in all of the fine print we were provided and there was nothing that explained how to return it online and although we returned the truck approximately 8 hours early (we rented for 24hrs) our return time was after hours. We tried to log onto their site while in their parking lot and with no success headed home to try on a computer. No success there either. The problem is that you are allowed to rent on line without setting up an account but then you can't return the truck without that account that wasn't required. And most importantly, they don't tell you you cannot leave their parking lot before this return process is complete because it requires you to take pictures and only accepts pictures taken from their parking lot. Maybe that should be somewhere in the preprinted paperwork provided so that we don't spend 30 minutes in their parking lot trying to figure it out and another hour at home on line before calling the home office only to find out now we are going to be charged a small charge because we did //not log on from their parking lot. When we called in to try to return it over the phone, the representative was extremely nice and apologetic for the inconvenience. She said she would let the owners know our experience and what happened and it would be up to them whether they would not charge the extra small fee. She also said she would pass on information to the appropriate personnel that they should include that in the paperwork so that others would not be caught in the same position. Overall the truck was in great condition. It appeared to have been cleaned well. We will continue to use their service. :)
The drop off procedure for returning after hours was a huge hassle. I had trouble linking the location on my phone, and taking all of the required pictures was a hassle at night in the dark.
There is only representative at the location. I had to load my own trailer . I was told it was correct but I wasn't sure

The people are older with limited computer knowledge. Every time I go there it takes forever for them to take care of me, 45 minutes last visit and I had paid and checked in online. No one is there to help if you need assistance putting trailer on the hitch, 6x12 is very heavy alone!!
Staff didn't want to assist anyone. She had everyone register online. I did and reserved it for 20 plus hours. Staff put it to return next day at 10am. When I didn't get it until 2:30pm. So it charged me an extra day so I used it since I was already charged for it. I am a teacher on a budget and this cut into my food budget.

The representative on the inside was very unfriendly. She did not seem to want our business. It appeared as if she was being bothered by helping us. Also, she licked her fingers to handle our contract. This is not safe, especially during this time of coronavirus.

No one was available to explain the use of the trailer, and the location was out of brochures. This should not happen, although the ladies at the location were sweet.

My u haul experience was okay. The truck worked well and made my move an easy task. However, I reported the truck was dirty in the cab and smelled like smoke. While I was driving I discovered that there were cigarette butts in the ashtray. I see that I was charged a cleaning fee. I hope that is not because I reported the truck as not clean for the next customer at check in.
The mobile check-in process was a disaster. I returned after hours and the link wouldn't work on my phone. I called customer service twice (the system hung up on me the first time and I had to wait nearly 10 minutes to talk to someone the second time) to let them know I was having trouble and the agent was very short with me, telling me that I would likely be charged a $20 fee because I did not check in remotely. This was infuriating after I had stood in the parking lot of the return location for over 45 minutes trying to make the link work from my phone. The location, equipment, and location staff were excellent. I was very put out by the rude tone and lack of empathy or consideration from the customer service agent. He did nothing to help at all and only pissed me off. For this reason, while I will recommend this location to others because the location staff were great, I will use another company next time who can provide better customer service in the event that anything unusual occurs.
The equipment was clean and very useful. However, the receptionist at this location was very rude. The dolly I rented was not in the truck when I went to pick it up, so we waiting until the office was open to inquire. She blamed us for reserving late (2 days ahead) and said we should've went to another location.

The customer service was great but I was not satisfied at all with the truck. The location I book it for did not have the truck at the location. So I had to wait a hour for the other location that was 10 miles out the way to open. Once that location open I was able to get the truck size I needed, but the truck was old and was hard to drive. The lights on the truck was no good during the travel at night. We had to spend extra money to get a hotel that was not plan because we couldn't see in the rain due to the dull headlights
