I arrived early and started the pick up on the mobile app which SUCKS. Took me 45 minutes to do the pickup. The app wouldn't load and kept making me take a picture of my id (must have done that step 5 times it kept freezing on that step). After following all the steps and having to do it via a web browser instead of the app I got the stupid code for the key and guess what wasn't in the truck. The dolly that I paid for (: there was no virtual/customer service help for after hour pick ups which you would think there would be since you're just relying on an app with very basic and weak code. This location sucks. I originally booked the West Roxbury location (for normal business hours)vand then I got a phone call later that day from a Uhaul rep saying that I needed to pick up on a different day and at a different location because the truck I booked and got confirmation for was actually not going to be available. So not only did I drive 40 mins out of my way in traffic, from Boston, a day early to pick up this truck, but the online service was a nightmare and they literally had one job at this location, to put the dolly in the truck and they couldn't even do that. -5 stars. Fix your app and the website there's no reason for it to be that terrible.

I returned the truck and still got emails for days saying it had not been returned, and I was greatly overcharged. Terrible experience, would not recommend

The location itself was fine. What I struggled with was using the mobile app for pickup and return due to poor cell phone signal. Looks like I was charged an late return fee as a result. Not good.

Hello. I am not understanding the $ 17 charge because when I rented the truck I was with 5/8 gasoline, as it is in the contract. Just as it was returned. the charge is not correct. I want my refound .

My when I left with the van had the mileage as 00.29 when I returned the rental the final bill was 00.99 per mile. on the website when I made the rental for the $19:95 van with $10.00 collision waiver my total rental came to 30:95. By the time I left the pick up store my final payment was $114.99. I was charged the safetrip fee of $5.00 I didn't need because I have AAA. Then to top it all off, when things where questioned all I heard was you have to call Arizona I can't do anything, it is all Arizona. For a rental that I should have been able to walk away with at 9am and didn't get it till 9:25am then returned it at 12:38pm and 72 miles later. I would never recommend you to anyone and will be online letting everyone who reads reviews what a rip off U-Haul is.

The Abington branch manager is absolutely rude. He lakes customer experience and basic communication skills. His name was Shady. His Greeing to me was , you are late” “ you have to bring the truck back at 8 Am tomorrow morning” I corrected him that I called at 8:45, why are asking me to bring it at 8? , in huffing and puffing he stated , “fine , then bring it by 8:45 Am. We got stuck on. A second to phone number which I told them I don't have, I am moving and only have one number. His associate suggested making. Phone number, which I did in order to get the truck. The manager became very angry and rude and said, you know what? I am not giving you the truck. I asked to speak to the manager but he attend he is the manager. Here I am stranded at UHul location with no ride having to move the same day and no truck. I google another uhul location and spoke to. Manager called Ed. He was very helpful and pleasant. He found me the truck that I need it in Rockland. I took an Uber car which cost me about $40 dollar to reach my destination. The person at the Rockland location was very helpful and respectful . He processed everything on no time and off I went off with my truck and retuned it on time. I had a woundeful experiment with Ed and the person located at the Rockland location. But I want your company to know that Shady was hostile, angry, repulsive and controlling. He became more angry when I called him out on his mistake and he almost kicked me out of the store. I had to wait outside at the curb in the shade of a hot day to come up with plan B. It was very humiliating experience at UHUL that I was not expecting nor was need to add to my stress of moving. Gentlemen who was there when i picked up was totally helpless. Not at all trained or knowledgeable. My whole experience with this rental was below a one star rating.
