Have a sales rep with U-haul handle the registration instead of an app. This isn't to blame the gas station tenets either. You should pay to have someone specifically there for U-haul. They have a business to run. This experience was so poor, I will never use U-haul again.

Christian JEverything worked technically, but it all felt a bit run down. I would give the experience a 3 stars, because I can't say that anything major broke. But it definitely wasn't the experience I've had in the past with U-haul, where everything worked smoothly and the car was clean. Examples of the little things that were below-par: The car door was busted and difficult to close, the cargo bay door was rusted and needed to be pulled extra hard. Check-out took 20-30 minutes as the gas station attendant navigated their older computer. They didn't have the dolleys that were advertised to be available online. Trash wasn't cleaned out of the car, and there were food wrappers under the driver's seat.

BRUCE CI had reserved the u-haul just a few miles from my house. My total trip with the u-haul would have been 20 miles from pickup to dropoff, but the site that I originally picked on the website apparently had issues, so this caused me to pick up from a different location and charged extra mileage. This doubled my mileage and I was charged according to that. The mileage charge was more than the u-haul rental itself. If the site is unavailable, it should not have been an option to rent from. While picking up my rental, the clerk would stop what he was doing with me and help other people check out from the gas station. While I can appreciate customer service, a little bit of communication would have been nice, such as "While I wait for the system to load, I'm just going to step over here so that way they are not waiting longer." Or something on those lines. I also rented a dolly for $7. The dolly that I received was a furniture dolly and does not work well with tubs. I did not have furniture to move, so the dolly was useless and was not used. Overall, I can say that it was not the best experience.
