I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at this U-Haul pickup location in Roseville, and I feel it is important to share what happened so others don’t go through the same situation. I specifically selected an in-person pickup option and arrived at the location around 8:30 AM expecting assistance. However, the gas station employee on site refused to help and told me I had to complete the entire process through the mobile app instead. This was not what I selected, and I was forced to stand outside in cold weather trying to figure out the app, which caused unnecessary confusion and delay. Before leaving with the U-Haul, I made sure to do the responsible thing and asked the employee if I could park my personal vehicle on the side of the property for a short period while I used the truck. I was clearly told, “no problem.” I emphasized that I would only be gone for a couple of hours and would return the same day, and again I was reassured that it would be fine. When I returned, my vehicle had been towed. This resulted in a total cost of over $560, including towing, storage, and additional fees. I also had to pay for an Uber just to retrieve my car, and I was placed in a very stressful situation as I needed access to my medication, which was inside the vehicle. The towing company made it clear that I would not be able to access my car or my belongings unless I paid immediately. To make matters more confusing, the towing receipt listed a different address (Quick Quack Car Wash), even though my car was parked at the gas station/U-Haul location. This raises serious concerns about how and where the tow was authorized. I spoke with U-Haul customer service, and they were apologetic, which I appreciate. However, the issue remains that I was: * Denied the in-person service I selected * Given incorrect information by staff * Not warned about any towing risk * Left to deal with significant financial loss and inconvenience I understand that towing rules exist, but customers should not be penalized due to miscommunication and lack of proper support at an authorized U-Haul location. I am currently seeking reimbursement for the towing charges and related expenses, and I hope U-Haul takes responsibility for what happened here. I strongly recommend that anyone using this location: * Do NOT rely on verbal confirmation from staff * Avoid leaving your vehicle anywhere on the property * Be prepared for no in-person assistance, even if selected This experience was stressful, expensive, and completely avoidable with proper communication.

Perfect. Thank you much. 😁
Nicco BIt took me about 30 minutes of my 4 hours rental time to process the truck before I left the area. I think the rental clock should start once you complete the rental process.
