I was told when I reserved a truck that I had it for 24 hours. When I picked it up I was told that I needed to return it by closing time or by opening time the next morning because someone else had reserved it for 8:30 AM the following day. I was a bit frustrated with that because I knew that would not be enough time, but I smiled and walked away. The next morning I returned the truck only to learn that a truck had been returned early and that I could keep the truck until 3 PM. I stood in a line for approximately 20 minutes because there was one worker and 6-8 customers waiting. I happened to be third in line. I would have appreciated a phone call to let me know that I could keep it. I paid 4 dollars for mileage to take the truck back and then back home with it. Not a big value but none the less, this could have been avoided with a phone call. Overall the experience was above average, not excellent but close. Thank you.

When I walked around the back of the truck to see if I had parked in the correct place, the Attendant was there entering truck ID into his handheld, up into the cab, verifying mileage, damage, etc. I was walking away in less than a minute.

I asked for a motorcycle trailer with the wheel chock. We confirmed and then when I went to pick it up they says they didn't have the trailer I needed so the upgraded me to a larger trailer. I did not need a large trailer had one at home I needed the motorcycle wheel chock. It cost more in gas to tow a larder trailer. Also on my way home with the trailer at night all the lights went out. It was not the vehicle all my trailers worked fine. I took a video for proof. Really not happy and will never return.

I could not manipulate your webpage for early check-in. it makes it so much more convenient to do early check-in. why can't I get out of the page at the bottom of the form that has instructions for truck use? This is really not a well put together web page It does not work. I tried multiple time and even called customer service. No one of the three people I talked to could help me. This is ridiculous. Why do you even say there is early check-in?

Customer service was TERRIBLE We were running late for our reservation and called them to say so. When we arrived the manager, Leon, was outside with another employee that he was training and another customer. We waited inside for 20 minutes before they came inside. When they came inside neither employee acknowledged us even though they walked right by us. They continued waiting on that customer (which was to be expected). We decided to sit down in the lounge area and in the meantime another customer came in. When they were finished with the customer they had been waiting on they proceeded to assist the customer that came in after us. We had been waiting 30 minutes or so at this point so we went right over , said that we had been waiting and that we would like to be waited on. They continued waiting on the customer that had walked in while we were waiting. When they finished with hat customer they did not apologize for the wait or for taking the customer before us. At this point they could tell that we were upset and in a hurry. All we wanted was the van that we had rented so we could get on our way. The manager was trying to train the other employee on the rental process while waiting on us (which normally would have been fine) but in the meantime the manager started helping yet another customer leaving us with the untrained employee. Our checkout process was very slow and nothing was explained about the after hour drop off process. (its not as simple as bringing the vehicle back and dropping off the keys.) When we were handed the paperwork (at this point we had been at Uhaul for over an hour and had arrived 1.5 hours late for the reservation) We were told that the 24 hour rental was from the time of the initial reservation and not the time of singing the paperwork... hence losing 2.5 hours of rental time. Granted 1.5 hours were our own fault but at no point, either during the call where I made the initial reservation or the call that I made to say that we were going to be late did anyone mention that the rental time started at the time of the reservation. I am a firm believer in customer service. Clearly the manager at this facility has not been properly trained. Had the manager been properly trained and had used good manners in general the issues that we had experienced could have been simply resolved. Saying "Hello" or "we will be with you in a few moments" when they first saw us, or telling the customer who they took before us that we were next to be helped or even a simple "I'm sorry for the wait" really would have made a HUGE difference in our dealings with Uhaul. We are not a family who believes in bad reviews. We are typically the ones gives good reviews and often praises those who deliver good customer service but in this case we were treated in such a manner that we felt we had to speak up.

The reason I rated the location as average pertains to the signage and location for returning the vehicle. The access and where to drop the vehicle is not well marked. Other than that it was very clean and the personnel was very friendly.

I thought I was given 125 miles. I was only allowed 100 miles. I was moving my daughter to college. Maybe you should have a special for one day for college parents and kids. I just thought I should not have been charged an extra $13 for the mileage when it was a rental from 8:30 to 5:00. It would be a great promotional event in August and September.

First of all the experience at the Rutland, VT was so horrible! There was no professionalism with anyone at the store including the manager and with any questions we had no one could give me an answer for any questions! And second of all Uhaul is supposed to have a 100% buy back guarantee on their boxes and I was not able to return $300 worth at this store for another person even though the garantee is 100%..... Also when I made the reservation with corporate on the phone I was quoted The same price for both truck but when I went to pay for the trucks at this store they didn't give me the discount on the second truck like the first truck and when I objected to it the manager said sorry and can't do anything about it and continued to tell me to sign and force me to continue, which I did because I had to move!!!! I would never recommend this location to anyone ever again! I was told by another person not to go here, but I did and wish I never did!!! The professionalism needs to be increased and all the immature joking needs to stop with every employee their!!! Also I will be calling to get my money back because I also called corporate again and they still were no help because they said that I needed to fill this form out first!!! All in all the trucks were amazing, but the service at Rutland was hands down horrible!!!!

Long wait times, not told only manager could approve over the phone payment until the 3 call and being hung up on. Waited over 1 hour on hold between 6 calls made to resolve issue. Manager never called me back. Store did not resolve payment issue and ended up calling Uhaul corporate to have them transfer the reservation to our business account so we could be billed. Poor customer service and way understaffed for call volume apparently.

This is a poor survey, all or nothing... it is the only site here, could be better. I still don't know if appliance cart and furniture pads got checked in. Leon was too busy. Said he would check me in in a few and send me e-mail receipt...I never should have allowed that. I may end up paying for equipment that I turned in, but he didn't record . =-(

The so called manager (Leon) was less than professional. He was angry, short with answers, rude and lacked any customer service skills. Once he checked the vehicle in he drove it to the back of the building at a high rate of speed and luckily there was anyone coming from that direction because it wouldn't have been good. I asked for a printed receipt and he looked like I had asked him to cut off a limb. Once he printed the receipt he grabbed it off the printer and didn't say a word to me. Very unprofessional and I will never deal with that "manager" again and if he is the only person working in that office I will go elsewhere. Very disappointing.

The 9 foot van that I rented worked out great, and it only had 4006 miles on it. I saved a lot of money renting from U-haul over Enterprize car rental. Thanks again, U-haul Bubba from Mendon, VT
