I have rented UHaul trucks quite a few times over the years. My last truck had 105,000 miles, and was dented and scraped all the way around. My pick up was delayed 30 minutes as I had to wait in line to point out a over half a dozen scrapes/dents that didn't already have X stickers on them. The truck looked like it had been in a riot. The UHaul app is very cumbersome to use and had to be rebooted multiple times for pickup and I had to go in to see the attendant to complete the pickup. The app hung completely during drop off and wouldn't clear so I could restart the drop off. The attendant said she would check it in and email me a receipt. When I looked at my final bill receipt, there was a $25 cleaning fee. All I hauled was a clean mattress, bed frame, two dressers, and a dozen clean tote boxes with lids. The inside of the cab and cargo box were exactly as I received it. Because the app crashed at drop off, it didn't accept my photos of the inside of the cab and cargo area showing both were clean. I feel I should receive a credit on my credit card for the $25 cleaning fee.

Not call after all other local UHaul locations closed to tell me the dolly I reserved a week in advance would not be available.
BEN SI was moved from one location to another because the booking did not match actual inventory. The employees did their best to help, but even they were frustrated with the situation.

Michael SDid not have the equipment I had reserved, shitty damaged truck, realized it was completely inadequate for my fairly simple needs, turned around immediately to return the truck, no ability to get a refund or compensation. So I spent $60, drove about a mile so I could turn around to go back. I was unable to get any kind of refund or compensation or accommodation. Your policies are terrible, your customer service abysmal, and I pray I will never need to rent a truck from you again. Ended up grabbing a truck from Menards for about $20, much better vehicle, service, price and actual employees who gave a fuck. Just awful. Zero stars. Will be promoting ANY other rental service. You used to have customer service and support, but no longer. Practically predatory now. It is sad to see.
